POV Ruby

"We thought that we should welcome our sister back home!" Varg boomed.

"Crap" I said and Wolf smiled at me. I looked over and Cassy and Silvia. They both looked as worried as I felt.

"Varg." Mom sighed.

"In the flesh." he grinned.

"Sorry to stop by unannounced but when Wolf here told me you were back we just wanted to welcome you and let you know that you and your family are always invited to come get a drink at the Den. We still see you as under the protection of the Riders. I know you left us but you still have a place with us if you ever want it." Varg went on to say as he handed my mom a plant. Mom looked confused but then smiled.

"Thank you, Varg. I would invite you in but the house is a mess" she replied and he nodded.

"We understand. Moving is a pain. Wolf and I just wanted to say hi and introduce or reintroduce you and your family to some of the guys. In case you run into any problems or need anything." Varg explained.

"This is Jackal, Hound, and my son Wolf. Cherry you should remember Bones and Coyote." Varg gestured to each of the men and we nodded.

"Now, who are all these beautiful ladies with you, Cherry?" Varg asked. Mom sighed.

"This is my wife Silvia and my stepdaughter Cassy. Next to her is my daughter,Ruby." Mom forced out. I smiled tightly when I was introduced. Varg smiled at us and winked at me.

"It's wonderful to meet all of you. Please, do come by and visit and if you have any problems, let me know, ok?" Varg said and we nodded.

"Thanks, Varg." Mom replied and the men turned to leave. Wolf caught my eye and smiled but I just ignored him. Mom shut the door.

"That was odd..." Silvia said as we walked back to the kitchen.

"It was. Varg and I go a long way back. I know that I hurt him when I left the Riders and married Dale but we became friends later. He was still upset though." Mom explained.

"I think that he still carries a torch for you." Silvia teased and mom blushed. I looked at my Mom curiously. If I didn't know better, I might think that she still had feelings for Varg too. I hoped not. She had such a good thing here with Silvia.

We enjoyed the rest of our night together. We watched some tv for a while and then went to bed.

Then next morning I got up early and showered. I got dressed and did my hair and makeup. I was just finishing up when there was a knock on my door. I opened it to see Cass standing there, ready for school.

"Hey, R. You ready?" she asked and I nodded. I grabbed my stuff and we walked down to the kitchen together. Silvia and Mom were already there.

"Here, girls! Have some breakfast before you go." mom ordered. We sat and ate quickly.

"I'm going to be at work most of the day. I'll probably be home late." Mom informed us.

"Me too. I have a bunch of errands to run so I'll bring home take out for dinner." Silvia offered.

"Thanks. That sounds good." Cassy said and I nodded.

"We'll see you tonight." I added as we got up and gathered our bags. Cassy and I hugged both of them and headed out the door.

"Have a good day, girls!" Silvia called.

"Love you both. Be safe!" Mom yelled as we walked out the door.

"We will! Love you too!" We called back.

"School isn't too far." I explained and Cassy nodded as we began walking down the street. We barely made it to the end of our block when a car pulled up behind us. Cass and I spun around and were relieved to see Scarlett roll down her window.

"Hey girls! Sorry if I startled you. I just wanted to give you a ride" she smiled and I sighed.

"That would be great. Thanks!" Cassy replied. We slide into the car and relaxed.

"You two look lovely." Scar commented.

"So do you." I smiled and she smiled back at me.

"You'll never believe who showed up at our house last night..." Cassy began. We told her about our Rider visitors during the fast trip. She shook her head in disbelief.

"No way!" she exclaimed. Cassy and I nodded.

"That is strange. I mean, Varg is usually an ok guy. Hopefully he was just being nice." Scar added and I hoped that she was right.

"Come on, let's get your schedules and lockers and I'll show you around." She offered. I felt everyone's eyes on us as we walked in and I was grateful that we were early and the hallways weren't packed. Scarlett lead us to the office where we got our paperwork and then showed us our lockers. Luckily, Cassy and I had lockers next to each other.

"It looks like we have the same classes for most of the day." Cass said and I nodded. We only had two periods apart. I checked with Scar and was relieved to find that she had those two with me.

"Good, you won't be alone in any class." Cassy stated. Just then, Don walked up.

"Hello ladies, how are you doing?" he asked and we all greeted him. He looked at our schedules and I was glad to find that he had many classes with us too.

"Let's go hang in the lounge until first period." he suggested.

"Sounds good, the girls have to tell you about their night." Scarlett added. We walked to a cozy room with some couches and vending machines and sat in a quiet corner. Cassy told Don about last night and by the end he was surprised.

"Do you think that Varg is trying to get your mom back?!" Don exclaimed. I shushed him having seen Wolf and his gang walk into the lounge a second before.

"Shh. Wolf and his friends just walked in. I don't think so. It seemed like he just kinda missed her. They were really close friends when we were kids." I whispered and the rest of my friends looked up and glanced at Wolf. He looked over after a second and smirked. Then he stood up and meandered over to us.

"Hey, Rue. Excited about your first day? I know that I am" he grinned. I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, fuck off, Wolf." I replied and heard students around me gasp. Wolf chuckled though.

"Come on, baby. You know that you missed me. Hell, I bet you even love me still." he bragged and I stood up. I looked him up and down.

"Nope. Honestly? I forgot all about you." I replied and walked out with my friends following me. I missed the look of heartbreak and then rage that flashed over his face as I left.

POV RubyI smiled at Wolf as he grabbed my bag."Are you sure that you want to go back today?" he asked and I nodded. I was released from the hospital a few days ago. I still had crutches but I decided to go back to school."It's too boring here." I complained and he smirked."I could always just stay with you. I'm sure that we'd find something exciting to do." he whispered in my ear. I shivered and shook my head."You're hopeless!" I exclaimed and he shrugged. "Okay. If it's too much just call me and I'll come get you." Silvia reminded me as she and Mom hugged me good bye. I rolled my eyes."I know. I'm good" I sighed as I hobbled out the door. Wolf tossed my bag to Jackal who was waiting by the car with Cassy. Jackal caught it and grinned as Wolf picked me up and carried me the rest of the way."Wolfie. I can do it!" I whined but he just grinned."I know, Baby. I just will use any excuse to hold you." he smirked and I glared. After we got in the car, Jackal in the driver seat, Ca

POV Wolf Cherry, Cassy, Slivia and Dad came back in the late morning and they and Ruby insisted on sending me home. After much arguing, Jackal showed up and practically drug me out of the hospital and back to my house."I'm just going to shower and change and then we are heading back." I said and he nodded."Fine, boss. Whatever." he agreed as we pulled up at the house."Some of the boys brought back everyone's bikes. The rest of the MC already gave their statements to the police with no problems. The cops said that they would be at the hospital this afternoon to talk to the rest of us. Hound, Mac, and Don are picking up Cerise at the airport and taking her right to the hospital. Scarlett and Foxy are at Foxy's house but they are heading to the hospital in an hour or so to bring everyone lunch." Jackal continued as we walked in."Thanks for taking care of everything. Dad's been handling Cherry and Silvia and I can't seem to let Ruby out of my sight." I replied. He looked confused and

POV Ruby"I can do this. I can do this. I HAVE to do this." I mumbled to myself as I wobbled out of my room. It was late or early, depending on your point of view. I had managed to send them all home a few minutes ago. Mom, Slivia and Cassy all wanted to spend the night but I had argued and Varg drove them home with promises that they would be back in a few hours. I knew that I had to be quick but I needed to see it. To be sure. I had overheard the doctor telling Mom where it was right before she left. He asked if she wanted a moment with the body but she refused. He explained that it would be moved to the morgue in an hour or so. I had quickly and quietly unhooked everything from me and slid out of the bed. My leg was in unrelenting pain but I had one thing left to do. I limped down the empty hallway. Luckily, the room was close to my own. I struggled to open the door when I heard the voice and froze. I closed my eyes. Of course, HE didn't leave. I should have known. "What are you

POV WolfThe EMT's showed up a few minutes after Ruby passed out. At least I hoped that she passed out. They first started to take care of Dale but my Dad stopped them."Take care of her first!" he commanded and luckily they obeyed. Jackal pulled me away from her so they could work on her as the second team appeared to work on Dale. The EMT's applied something to Ruby's leg and quickly got her on the stretcher. I followed them as they wheeled her outside. Her Mom along with Silvia, Cassy, Scarlett, Mac and Don were right outside the door."Ruby!" Cassy screamed as she saw her. Jackal ran to Cassy just in time to catch her as she fell."NO!" Cherry yelled. She ran to Ruby and followed her into the ambulance. I started to follow but Dad grabbed me."I'll bring the others to the hospital, Cherry. We'll be right behind you." Dad yelled. Cherry seemed to barely hear him but nodded slightly as she sobbed over Ruby."Slivia, do you have your keys? We'll have to take your SUV. I only have my

Trigger warning Abuse, Violence, Gun ViolencePOV Ruby(Back when she was walking in the house)As I quietly walked towards the dining room, I could hear my father ranting."She's late. She knows that I hate it when she's late. I'll have to take care of her. I'll teach her." he muttered."Leave her alone!" Slivia yelled."Shut the hell up. You aren't her parent. You are a leech who took my wife and family when I wasn't looking. I should kill you right now!" he screamed as I walked through the door."Hello, father." I quietly said with my eyes downcast. I was trying to control my shaking. As much as I hate to admit it, this man terrified me but I couldn't leave my family to die at his hands. He whipped around to see me."Finally, you show up. You're late." he snarled as he backhanded me before I could see it coming. Instantly, I was on the floor, holding my face. I was transported right back to a little girl, innocent and hurt by the one man that was supposed to keep me safe. I took a

POV WolfTrigger Warning: Abuse, Violence, Gun ViolenceI couldn't believe that I was doing this. I couldn't believe that I was driving the woman I love towards the dangerous man who has harmed her countless times before. All I wanted to do is turn around and drive her as far away as I can. Trust me the thought has crossed my mind more than once. But I knew that she truly would never forgive me. I saw in her eyes that she meant it when she said that. I also saw that she needed to do this. So I continued on. This is the hardest thing that I will ever do, I thought. When we were a block away from her house, I pulled over and shut off the bike. She got off the bike quickly but I grabbed her hand before she could walk away. "Wolf, I've got to go. I texted him to let him know that I'd be there in five minutes. If I'm late, he'll be even madder than he already is." she said and I nodded."I know. I just..." I trailed off, looking at her as I stood. Suddenly, I pulled her into me and kissed
