Damian ascended the scene leaving behind an air of static tension.
Leah’s heart dropped as she stared at Rachel's message for the second time. She needed to know how big of a threat this man was and this meant she had to do some background research so she typed back quickly with trembling fingers.
“Let's meet at the west wing center, there's a study there that no one barely goes to. I need to know how big of a threat this man is.”. She hit send and tucked the phone back in her pocket.
Moments passed and she went to the study. Rachel was already there waiting pretending to do some cleaning. Leah picked up an antique leather book and sat by the desk Rachel was “fake-cleaning.”
“So who is he?” She whispered, her eyes still fixated on the book she wasn't reading.
Rachel didn't look at her, she just continued wiping the desk with a rag that did more smearing than cleaning.“Damian Carter. Alex's older brother and the rightful heir to the Carter's enterprises.”
