Skylar’s POV
I follow the sound of his footsteps as it echoes down the long corridor. I am not sure if I took a wrong direction but I can still here his footsteps clearly, so definitely he is still close to me. I can’t count the amount of doors I have walked past while following him. From the height of the walls and how much this place echoes it must be huge.
I cover my mouth to muffle a scream as I come to the end of the corridor, not just that it ends at a staircase but it also has no railing. What kind of f***ed up death trap is this? By the goosebumps on my skin and the rising of the hair at the back of my neck, I know someone is watching me.
“He is behind us.” The voice from the hospital says.
“Why the hell did you not warn me sooner?” I almost scream out loud. Since he did not say anything and I am already here, I may as well just make it count. I walk down the stairs, sticking to the wall and being careful. With how slow I am walking my destination feels farther than it is
