The latest news spurred me to work twice as hard as I had ever been before. My son’s health was deteriorating every day and I wasn’t going to let him die.
I barely left the laboratory anymore. I ate, slept, and woke up within these walls as I struggled to come up with something.
The virus was spreading even faster now that it had gotten into the water and a lot of people were falling sick and the rate had gone up.
I had several visitors every day who came to encourage me and remind me that I held the fate of everyone in my hands, adding to the pressure that was on my shoulders already.
Sometimes, I wished that they would stop but I knew that they needed a way to cope. Revolting wasn’t going to solve anything so believing in the prophecy was the next best option for them and that prophecy came in the form of myself.
