Ava’s POV
I stood up so fast that my chair nearly fell over. My whole body trembled with anger. What were they talking about? How could they do this to me?
"You have no right!" I shouted, my voice echoing through the hall, silencing the murmurs of the elders. "Arthur wrote that will himself, You can’t just tear it up and act like it never existed!"
Elder Malcolm crossed his arms, his face filled with amusement. "And what will you do, Ava? Ask the witch to summon Arthur’s ghost here to punish us?" A few elders chuckled, their faces etched with mockery.
