Laura’s POVAs my heavy eyelids slowly opened,the first thing I felt was a sharp, piercing pain in my head. I tried to sit up, but a wave of dizziness forced me back against the pillows. Why am I in a hospital? The last thing I remembered was Margaret’s face filled with anger,her slap, the sickening crack as my head hit the table.“Doctor! Doctor Zach!! She’s awake!”Alexander’s voice echoed from the doorway and he sounded worried? I blinked, trying to focus as footsteps rushed into the room.
