LOGINI found an old quill in an antique shop and decided to buy it since I have always wanted to write with quills. However, as soon as I touched the quill to the paper, I was transported into the book. I wasn't the only one there, though three males who always hide their identities behind masks were in the book with me. They claim the quill belongs to them, and I must return it. Since I refuse, they follow me into every book I go into. One day, I was debating which of my mature books to write when I accidentally spilled the ink onto my book, 1001 Dark Tales. The only way they'll help me out of the book is if I give the quill back, and there is now a fourth. As I go through more of the book with them, I start noticing things. Things I had never planned for in my book, and it concerned me because even though I hadn't written those parts yet, none of the other stories I had used the quill on had ever gone that off track. However, when we tried to leave the book, it wouldn't let us back out. It seems we're stuck in the book until we finish all 1001 Dark Tales.
View MoreA pair of arms wrapped around me, and I instantly settled into the familiar embrace as both of us watched the sun set over our kingdom.
I couldn’t help the squeal of delight that escaped my mouth. I had finally completed my book, 1001 Dark Tales. The look on my editor’s face was one of disbelief when I announced I was stopping all other books to focus solely on that one. I guess writing 1001 Dark Tales takes a long time, four years to be exact. Still, I had written enough books with the help of my quill that I had more than a steady income.
I picked up the quill in question, twirling it around my fingers. The quill appeared to be a typical quill used by authors. Well, they don’t actually use them these days. Most use pens and pencils, which was fine, but I had always wanted to learn how to use a quill. So when I saw one that day in the bookstore I usually go to, I bought it. It was a set that came with its very own ink.
When I put it to the page to write my book, though I was instantly transported into the book I was about to write. I lived the character’s life until finally I reached the ends book and came back to an already written book. I was overjoyed; what writer wouldn’t wish for a quill that enables them to live inside their own books as their character and come out with the story done. There has been a downside though, and that’s the three men that keep following me into the book insisting I give them their quill back. It doesn’t really seem to matter to them. I bought it fair and square; they still saw it as there’s. Which is why I haven’t been using it ever since I started writing 1001 Dark Tales.
Yes, I could have written it quicker, but 1001 Dark Tales are dark romance tales. I’m not ashamed of anything I write, but I would rather not act out the scenes with three males who I don’t even know their names or what they look like. I push those thoughts away as I put the quill down and grabbed my other manuscripts, leafing through them. Each of them was only partly done and would benefit from using the quill on them. Before I could pull one out, though, I heard a knock at my door.
I spun towards the door, accidentally tipping over the ink bottle. I thought nothing of it; the ink had never spilled before. Even so, I decided to turn back and pick it up. Which is when I noticed that the ink had somehow spilled, and not only that, but it spilled right onto my finished manuscript, 1001 Dark Tales. I sat there staring for a second, completely forgetting about the knock on the door. Nothing happened, though, and relief instantly filled me.
Every other time as soon as ink had gotten onto the page, I would be transported into the book. However, this time nothing happened, which might be because I hadn’t used the quill since the ink just spilled. No longer frozen, I recalled the knock on the door and rose from my desk. I was about to take a step when suddenly my living room dissolved into inky blackness. An inky blackness that had only been in a couple of times when the three musketeers of assholes paused my story.
Which means I was in my book, 1001 Dark Tales. I instantly started praying that for once those three weren’t in the books with me. In the next second, I realized my prayers went unanswered when a familiar voice stated.
“It’s been such a long time; we were wondering if you’d completely forgotten about the quill and us.”
I bit back a sigh and put on my best smile as I turned around to face them. “Of course not. I’ve just been busy.”
All three of them were here, just staring at me from behind their masks. They had already seen my face multiple times by the time I figured out I could control what I looked like in the ink. So since they haven’t been able to find me by how I look, I decided it didn’t matter even if they somehow found my books in real life. I went under a pen name and didn’t show my face anywhere. It was one of the twins that had spoken, or at least I’m assuming they are twins. Whenever there were twins in my story, they would be those characters, so I just started calling them twins.
The one who spoke was the more outgoing twin.
He snorted. “We assumed writing was your whole life.”
“It is.” I admitted, “I was writing… This book and I’ve already finished it, but I accidentally spilled some ink onto it. Since it’s already finished, we can just-.”
“Why didn’t you use the quill to write this book?”
Blinking, I stammered, “Uh, it’s a book containing 1001 Tales, and I didn’t want to spend that much time inside a book. Even I’m not that obsessed.”
It was not a complete lie that was another reason I didn’t want to use the quill on this book, but it wasn’t the complete truth either. He stared at me for a second as if he really didn’t believe me, but before he could call me out on it, the third one spoke up.
“She’s right; if there weren’t multiple stories in this book, it would have pulled us straight into it. The only reason we’re in the ink is that we have to choose a story.”
“We don’t have to choose anything; these stories are already finished,” I stated quickly, a little too quickly.
They all looked at me, waiting for an explanation, but I remained silent, unable to meet their gaze. Again, I am not ashamed of what I write. I just don’t want to act out my book with three men whom I don’t know, especially those scenes.
Hey, my Royalties, I have some updates to tell you. So I know I haven't been writing this book, and that's because I was stumped. Thankfully, I figured out what I wanted to do with this book. It's going to change a bit, but not a lot. You see, I decided that instead of the entire story, they'll be placed in a part of the story and have to complete a task to get to a new story. I'll try my best to get these chapters out as soon as I can. I am thinking of deleting the original chapter and then just posting new ones. Because I recently got a new editor and I told them I was doing new edits, but it's been 2 or 3 days, and there's been no response. From what I figured out, if it's the first time I'm posting the chapter, it doesn't require their approval. If that doesn't work, I really don't know what I'm going to do besides contact Goodnovel, of course. Now let's talk about my other books. Nightmare Land is not changing, but I am re-editing the first 18 chapters, which I will try to finis
He didn't wait for me to argue and instead forced me onto my knees in front of the prince. Who stared down at me with wide eyes. Like he couldn't believe I was in front of him. I reached forward, but before I could even touch him, he jerked away. "Wait... I want to pierce her first."Though he tried to say it with confidence. It was more than obvious he was panicking. I would have tried to help him, but I was more worried about myself. My thigh still throbbed from the brand, and now they wanted to pierce my tongue, nipples, and clit. Still, Raven would do anything for Fox. "Get on the bed." The commander barked, yanking me to my feet. After a moment's hesitation, I turned to the bed. Before I could take a step, though, a hand wrapped around my ankle. Glancing down, I met Fox's eyes as he shook his head at me, telling me not to do it. The commander yanked me away from Fox and practically threw me onto the bed. "Good, you woke up just in time for the fun."I landed in the middle of
The treasure room was actually the prince and my character's idea. In the plot, she was going by; they had set this trap for her. Just in case Lady Bluebird wasn't able to lead her away. The actual treasure is hidden in the prince's chambers. Somewhere none of them would ever go. It didn't take me that long to reach the room. Someone locked the door from the inside. Which none of the guards would have done. Luckily, my character was quite strong, so all I had to do was plant my foot in the middle of the door, and it flew open. The two of her men left in the room instantly turned and faced me. They each had on a black cloak and mask, as Raven had on when I had first caught her. These two wore a fox and a tiger mask, unlike Raven's raven-shaped mask. If I remember correctly, the fox mask was Fox, one of Raven's love interests. Which should be one of the twins characters. The one with the fox mask shoved the other one through the window before standing in front of it. His body was ten
After a second, I realized I should probably go with him. I mean, he wasn't able to figure out that something was wrong without my help. If he gets caught, then we're all dead. I slipped out after him. I figured none of them would leave without permission. At least I hope they wouldn't be stupid enough. They would be signing their own death warrant then. It didn't take me that long to catch up with Lord Tiger. When he saw me, he just grinned at me. He was probably thinking that I had come with him to protect him and the others. This is usually where I would open my mouth and ruin the plot. I'm figuring out why everyone is grateful that I can't speak. It doesn't mean I like it, though. We searched the entire train, but as I expected, guards were at every exit. That didn't discourage me, though. There is no way she wouldn't have an exit for her precious characters. Knowing her, though, it would be somewhere we least expect it. Or somewhere that's almost impossible to get to. I racked
The chain clanked as he pulled it. Forcing my arms high above my head by the cuffs around my wrists until I was dangling before securing it to the wall. He looked over my body, and I felt naked, even though I was completely clothed. Just as before. He had pulled off his helmet and armor.Leaving him
As I turned away from my brother. I hoped that whatever was happening to that plot didn’t change it too much because she would kick our asses. ******I struggled with the binding that held me, but even if I got close to getting them off. A bump would knock them out of my hands. After the eighth tim
I easily slipped through the train with Fox's muscle memory. However, as I walked around more, I realized it was abandoned. I had thought it was weird that no one was guarding the prince's chamber. You would expect not only the treasure to be protected but the prince himself. Something is going on.
I stumbled through the fire. Covering my face with my cloak as I looked for the clearing that Lady Bluebird had mentioned. She had been telling the truth about the fire. Which means she must be telling the truth about where she had left Raven. However, no matter where I looked. All I could see was t
