Chapter 9: Class and Visiting City

“It is said that long before the world was created. The creation goddess Amity was born from the chaos and order of the universe. As an only living being, she continued to live surrounded by darkness for aeons. Lonely and sad, she finally died due to loneliness. Her hair transformed into stars, her eyes into the sun and the moon, her tears turned into ocean and rivers, her flesh formed into mountains and land, her blood formed other living beings and from her heart, we humans came into this world…”

“Well, that’s just bullshit- ahem… I mean a famous myth. I recommend you to read the book ‘How was the world formed? Science Not Myth by Dr Josh Miller’ for in-depth knowledge.”

Currently, two small heads were watching the lecture given by a big person before them. Quinlynn, who finally is friends with Vincent thought she could hang out with him but she was forced by her maid to study. Apparently, she is healthy and soon she might even walk like any normal person. Although she can walk for a short distance now even though she might have forgotten to mention it to others. Anyway, she is okay with Dr Josh’s class who appears to be a professor slash Doctor slash Historian and also an honorary lecturer at Royal Atlas Academy. Overall, Dr Josh seems to be a talented person even if he sometimes tries to sell his books to them. Quinlynn like his class because the history of this world is interesting and is the only class that she has in common with Vincent. They have etiquette class, music class, math, science class, and Quinlynn is only allowed to learn classes such as hunting, martial arts, horse riding after she completely recovers her body. Anyhow, who wants to study when she already graduated from her college in her previous life.

Dr Josh observed one of his students being in a daze and asked, “Miss De’Rosa can you tell me the geography of our world?”

Snapping out of her mind, Quinlynn recalled all the knowledge she read from the library and answered, “In this world of Rayden, There are five continents namely, Olfus, North Vedas, South Vedas, Uroni and Alios listed in order of size. Olfus is six times as large as Uroni but it is full of frozen Iceland. While Alios, the continent where our Kingdom is located is full of rich fertile soil and humid air…”

“Not only that but there are many small counties in this continent among them there are three major powers. The People’s Federation of Anisburg is a country known for its multi-culture and diversity. It is also a trade hub. The kingdom is located east of the Atlas Kingdom. The Military Kingdom of Zrelios, located far north of our Kingdom. Lastly, our Kingdom, the Atlas Kingdom is the only kingdom with the aristocracy in power in Alios Continent. These three kingdoms are the current three major powers in this continent but if the power balance breaks. The small countries around us will not survive and our Kingdoms as many countries are secretly eyeing the fertile land of this continent. ”

Vincent looked towards Quinlynn with admiration in his eyes. ‘She is so intelligent’

Dr Josh looked at Quinlynn with a proud face ‘I haven’t taught her anything but she must have read on her own. What a hard-working student I have.’ 

“Good job Miss De’Rosa.” Taking a glance at his watch, he saw that his class is almost up and announced, “Okay, Miss De’Rosa and Mr Blaze our class is over for today. See you all tomorrow”

Vincent jumped from his chair and moved Quinlynn’s wheelchair through the door. Quinlynn took a glance at Vincent and thought, ’Yeah, we did become best friends fast since that chasing incident.’ She warily smiled, ‘Although, I don’t like kids but who made this kid cute? With his pure heart and always ready to help her with a worried gaze.’

“Vincent, do you want to visit the city today? After all, we don’t have any class afternoon today.”  

Vincent pondered for a moment ‘I haven’t visited Aldrich city even once because he lived at Lean City for his whole life.’ 

“Okay, but shouldn’t we inform Duke De’Rosa or ask him permission.” Vincent meekly inquired.

‘Now that I think about it I do think I need to inform them.’ Quinlynn took out her phone to call Mary, “Oh hey Mary, Do you know if my father is here?”

Mary was introducing the new interns around the villa with her colleague. Hearing a beep from her pocket, she informed Butler Denise and walked out.

“Hello, young lady.”

“About the Duke, he went to the Senate for the annual meeting. Oh, you want to go visit the city with young master Vincent? Then I shall accompany you. Yes, don’t worry young lady I will inform the head Butler, no need to disturb Duke for this. Okay then, I will be waiting near the gate. Bye, young lady. Beep-”

Then Mary walked towards where the head butler office is located to inform about the visit. 

“Okay, Thank you, Mary. We will meet you soon. Beep-” putting her phone inside her pocket. 

Finding out they have reached before her room, Quinlynn turned towards Vincent and informed him what Mary has just said.

“Anyway Vincent, you should go to your room and get changed. Wear something that is common not so fancy, eye-catching and branded.” 

After wearing something that looks normal, Quinlynn opened her door only to find Vincent waiting for her. He was wearing a brown cardigan and underneath he wore a white dress shirt with black khaki shorts. Along with his delicate face…

‘He looks like some young master from a noble house.’ she thought.

And she just told him to wear some normal clothes. Seeing his shining eyes, waiting to be praised, she just complimented him with a smile, “Vincent, you look nice.”

‘Forget it, at least he didn’t wear any fancy or branded clothes.’ 

Vincent beamed at Quinlynn as he replied, “Thank you. You’re also looking great!” and she does look great wearing a dotted one piece even if she is sitting in her wheelchair. 

Quinlynn thanked him and felt a vibration from her inside pocket. She took out her phone and glanced down. Then she informed, “Well, shall we go? Mary just sends me the message saying she is currently waiting for us at the gate.” 

Mary Lin was waiting for her young lady and young master Vincent. Unlike her usual maid uniform, she was wearing simple jeans and a shirt that says 'Where there is a hole there is a goal'. After informing her young lady, she scrolled through her social media feeds. Her eyes wandered around feeling bored and suddenly, she saw two small figures coming towards her. 

“Young lady! Young Master Vincent! I am here!” Mary waved at them.

Quinlynn and Vincent arrived in front of Mary. Together they got inside a low-key black luxury car. Quinlynn sighed ‘I wished we could just visit the city normally but…forget it, it's not like my wheelchair won't attract attention. Just enjoy the trip, Me.’
