Chapter Three

Third-person point of view.

Stella.

Aaron's house was not that big but it was enough for two people, it was painted in white, a bed laid at the center of the room, with a SpongeBob bed sheet, by the left was a desk and a wooden chair he kept books and other things on his desk just by the right there were two doors, one was the bathroom and the other was a kitchen the doors were painted in brown, a large carpet that almost covered half of the room was laid, it was in Ash and black a small carpet laid at the entrance if the bathroom, it was in Ash. By the right side of the bed was a cupboard, a small cupboard where he kept his clothes. Aaron was three years older than Stella he was done with college while she was in her first year in college. She met Aaron at a restaurant when she went on a dinner with her parents, she didn’t like their food so she complained to the management, Aaron apologized for that, she still argued and shouted. Aaron loved that about her, it was love at first sight.

She sat on his bed, feeling nervous she had never seen herself like this, she never thought she will be kicked out of her house she never saw herself being pregnant at a very young age. She was just eighteen years old, She wasn’t even sure if she could take up this pregnancy if she could be a good mother. She had to be a better mother than her mother she had no idea how she would do it? But she knew she would allow her baby to be who she is? she will allow her/him to make their decisions.

“Aaron what are we going to do? We can’t stay here forever.” Stella asked.

“I know baby, I have a plan, eat first, we will talk later,” Aaron said

“No! I want to know the plan.” Stella said.

“Don’t be stubborn baby eat first I know you are hungry.” He served her rice and chicken, which he ordered from a Chinese restaurant nearby, he was right she was hungry she ate up all the food in some minutes, and she took a glass of water to quench her thirst. Aaron made sure she finished eating before he ate.

“Now let's talk, where are we going to get money?.” Stella asked. He left out a breath before he spoke.

“I have a plan I have been offered a job, you know I worked in a restaurant as a manager during my college well I got a job at a restaurant and they will provide accommodation, the pay isn’t much but it is enough,” Aaron said.

“That’s good, when did you apply for the job?.” Stella asked.

“Last week but there is a problem,” Aaron said.

“What kind of problem?.” Stella asked.

"Just a small problem, you know the usual," Aaron said.

"The usual, I am pretty sure we have a different definitions of the usual," Stella said. " What is the problem." She said in a very serious voice.

“ I applied for their restaurant in town but they gave me the job at their other branch,” Aaron said

“Where is the branch? don’t fucking tell me it's in another town.” Stella said while glaring at him.

“I love you,” Aaron said with a puppy face.

“I know you do now tell me is it here or elsewhere,” Stella asked.

“Well… Since we are on the topic.. yes they did give me in another town.” Aaron Said.

“What!?” Stella yelled. “I can’t leave this town I don’t want to, My everything is here”

“Come on baby.” He said while taking her hand. “You can transfer colleges, I’m moving too, we are doing this for our baby.”

“But I’m scared, what if we fail?” Stella asked.

“We won’t, We can do it.” He gave her a peck on her lips, she returned with a smile. Stella has never been anywhere without her parents, even in college she didn’t stay on campus she was always at home. Her parents never trusted her enough to leave her alone, She never thought she would be away from them.

"Will they ever forgive me? Will they accept our baby?" Stella asked Aaron. She sounded sad, though she didn't have a good relationship she still loved them.

"They will, They will realize their mistake," Aaron said. Aaron knew they will never forgive her but he lied to make her feel better. Her parents always hated him they never gave him a chance they believed he was bad news since his parents abandoned him. Stella's mother didn't even give him a chance to defend himself, She threw him out of the house the minute she recognized him.

Aaron never thought he will find love until he met Stella. She was different from the other girls, He loved her more than anything. They were more like a married couple than a boyfriend and girlfriend. He always wanted children and he was happy it going to happen with her. The baby was a new beginning, The town would open a new chapter in their lives.

This baby was going to change her life, The baby will bring their doom their death. It will mark a new part a very important part of their lives.

They had no idea the town will be their worst nightmare, their lives will change they will wish they never moved. Stella and Aaron names that will be remembered in that town forever.

The day Stella met Aaron for the first time.

Friday night or should I say family night, Friday night was always family night, Stella’s mother made a tradition of the family night to bring the members of the family closer to each other. Stella hates family night it always ended in a heated conversation, fights, or one person hating the other more. Being the only child Stella hated how her parents expected her to be the perfect daughter they wanted, they wanted to mold her the way they imagined their dream child.

Today her mother was taking the family to dinner, Stella wore a black sleeveless dress that reached her knee and glass heels to go with it, she tied her hair into a ponytail and applied some make-up, a little bit of powder, some mascara, and gloss to make her lips shine. She walked into their living room waiting for her parents. She got bored of standing alone and decided to walk to the driveway and wait for them there. She stood in front of their car when she heard the sound of heels.

“Finally,” Stella said.

She sat in the car not wanting to speak to anyone, the drive to the restaurant was quiet, and no one said a word till they arrived. Her father parked the car and they stepped out. The restaurant looked beautiful from the outside, it was made of glass you could see everyone from the outside. Stella stepped into the restaurant looking at the breathtaking embroidery designs on the ceiling, there were tables and chairs all around the room, a bar by the left of the room, the tables were covered with an Italian table cloth, the staff wore black trousers with white shirts, the floors were water tiles, the walls were painted in blue with blue curtains making it go perfectly with the floors. She was lost in her thoughts when a man walked toward them.

“Good evening, How can I help you?” The man asked with a smile on his face.

“Reservations for the Saverio.” Stella’s Father said.

“Right this way Sir.” The man said while leading the way, he took them to a more isolated part of the restaurant, there was no one there, a table sat at the center covered with an Italian table cloth everything was neatly arranged.

“Your waiter will be with you in a minute.” The man said.

Stella took a seat opposite her parents, She took out her phone to avoid talking to her parents, her father was not even smiling, he looked like he was forced to come to the restaurant, she was already hungry when a man walked into their table, he wore a black trouser and a white button-up shirt, there was a name tag attached to his shirt.

Van.

“Good evening I am your waiter for tonight, are you guys ready to order,” Van said with a smile that spread across his face.

“I will like to have a chicken salad,” Stella said to Van.

“Okay, how about you madam,” Van asked Stella’s mother.

“We are not ready to order.” Her Father said rudely.

“Okay, sir,” Van said while leaving, a few minutes later van came back with the salad.

“Here you go ma'am, when you are ready to order I will be over there,” Van said.

Stella took a look at the salad, it looked mouth-watering, the aroma kept hitting her nose, when she took a bite her mood changed, it tasted terrible, the vegetables were spoilt, she took a sip of the wine to wash of the disgusting taste.

“The food is spoilt.”. She said to her Mother.

“Quit complaining and just shut up and eat.” Her Father said not letting her mother utter a word.

Stella stood up angrily and marched to the manager's office, She knocked on the door angrily.

“Open up.” She shouted. She was about to knock on the door again when the door opened revealing Aaron, He stood in front of Stella with a smile on his face, the suit he wore hugged his muscles perfectly, navy blue sure looked good on him.

“How can I help you, ma'am?.” Aaron asked.

“How can you help me?” Stella shouted. “your restaurant looks amazing but the food is terrible.”

“I am so sorry for that, The mistake must have been done by the chef, I apologize on his behalf,” Aaron said.

“Apology is not going to fix what I tasted, I will sue your stupid chef and your restaurant,” Stella shouted.

“That won’t be necessary ma'am, I sincerely apologize, It won’t happen again,” Aaron said.

“No!.” Stella said.

Stella kept shouting and shouting until Aaron promised to give her a coupon for the food and a special two-day stay at their hotel, Aaron loved the fact she was feisty, and she had an attitude that made him want her. After that day Aaron called her and fixed a date.
