XVI - Marlowe

Three weeks of sleeping out under the stars, and we were still following the Wisps. Others had joined us, when they found out we were going to look for the Alpha; Hoping that's where the Wisps were leading us. We were going on week four when the Wisps stopped right next to the river. You could see dolphins in the water. One swam our way, jumping out of the water as it turned into a young man.

"You must be looking for the Alpha, those feral Werejaguars took?" He asked, while looking at Nevara, who also happened to be a Werejaguar. "You are from a shadow here in the A****n?"

She shook her head no, with a smile.

"Argentina, but my ancestors are from here." She told him, as she looked at the other dolphins that were staring at us, keeping an eye on the young man. "You all are Encantados, right?"

He nodded as he looked at the others.

"Have any of you been in the A****n before?" He asked, focusing back on us.

"I have," I answered; He gave me a look of surprise.

"Do you know where to find the ruins of the dual gate?"

The Dual Gate supposedly once was the only way to the realm of the gods. I had only seen it twice in my life time but it was also a very dangerous area. I had seen men, women, and children die from the demons that hid in the shadows.

"That where the Alpha is?" I asked, with concern.

He nodded and I looked at the group.

"You all should head back." I told them. "The Dual Gate area is dangerous. I don't need any of you dying."

"We agreed to find the Alpha together." Eidrich growled. "We're coming with you wether you like it or not."

I looked at the Encantado and he sighed.

"Be careful." He told us, before he got back into the water. He turned back into a dolphin, swimming off with his pod.

"How dangerous are we talking about?" Simon asked, as I started walking.

"There are demons there that will kill you, if they find you unworthy of being on the Dual Gates territory." I answered. I put my pack down, before adding. "It will go by faster if those of us that can shift walk in our animal forms."

I shifted and others followed shortly, the Vampires and Elves picked up our packs; We began to run keeping at a speed that would fit everyone. If we were going to get there as soon as possible, we would have to walk all day.

When we had to stop, we didn't stop for long just enough time to eat or relieve ourselves. We didn't reach the territory of the ruins until sunrise the next day. We were going to have to be very careful, now with Demons and Feral Werejaguars.
