Chapter 2 They cheated on me behind my back

Cynthia's POV

Jenny covered her slapped face and said in a sad, pitiful voice, "Why...why did you smack me?"

If my wrist weren't injured, I would love to tear Jenny into pieces.

I treated Jenny as the cutest and sweetest sister in my previous life, willing to share everything with her. I forgave her even when Jenny and Daniel had a drunken one-night stand.

I made a difficult decision to share my beloved husband, Daniel, with my dearest sister Jenny. But Jenny wasn't satisfied with that. She wanted to take everything away from me.

I couldn't forget the way Jenny had forced Daniel to kill me, crazy, ugly, hideous; just the thought of it made me want to vomit.

"Get away! Get away from me! Get the hell out of here!"

Luna clung to the emotionally distraught me to keep me from stepping on the broken glass on the floor, "Calm down! Calm down Cynthia! Jenny, go outside and don't provoke her!"

Jenny ran out crying and bumped into the servant who had arrived to clean up the broken glass at the door.

"There, there. What's happening, Cynthia? Tell mommy."

I was held tightly in my mother's arms. I desperately wanted to remind her of what was going to happen.

I wanted to say that you must remain cautious of Daniel and Jenny.

Daniel will lay murderous hands on my father and brother one after the other for the next six months, and Mom would die as a result.

And Jenny had been having an adulterous affair with Daniel for a long time. She knew everything but helped Daniel to strike a vicious blow.

"Mom, Mom. What I say next is very important, you must remember. Daniel ......"

Just as I mentioned the name "Daniel," the servant, wiping the water stains on the floor, suddenly looked up. I happened to see the servant's face and was too frightened to say a word.

Wasn't this servant one of the Rebel Army who had talked with Daniel in the conference room that night?

Why was he here?

He disguised himself as a servant in our pack house. When exactly did he sneak into the Rosebud Pack?

If I hadn't been reborn, I would never have noticed this unassuming servant.

Goodness, it's horrible!

How many rebels were in disguise in their pack?

"Cynthia, what do you want to tell me? What happened to Daniel?"

Sweat dripped down my head as I realized my entire back had been wet in a matter of seconds.

I swallowed hard and said, "Nothing. I just wanted to ask, where's Daniel?"

Mom seemed to blame all of my abnormalities on the aftermath of the coma and the nightmares. She didn't think much of it.

"The residents of Rosebud Pack are marching in protest. I heard there was a fight. Daniel went to the scene with your father to pacify the people."

I bit my lip tightly. Everything was exactly the same as it had been a year ago.

I remembered that my father began to accept Daniel and trust him from that day, gradually leaving some of Alpha's work in Daniel's hands.

Then, three months later, my father fell ill, and the Alpha title gave way ultimately to Daniel.

Luna saw my worried face and thought her daughter was still fretting about love.

She relieved me and said, "Don't worry, my dear, your father is only stern on the surface, but he loves you in his heart. He will accept Daniel."

I didn't dare to tell the truth, I noticed that the servant hadn't left yet, and I didn't know how many people Daniel had arranged to spy on me, so I could only nod my head.

There was a loud noise at the door, and someone was saying, "The Alpha is back!"

I immediately dried her tears and jumped out of bed, "Father! I'm going to see my father!"

I walked down the hall with my mother's help.

Jenny was crying with her face covered. Father, brother, and Daniel gathered around Jenny and asked her what had happened, but she just cried and shook her head without answering.

Everyone focused on Jenny alone, and no one noticed that I had arrived.

"Don't cry, Jenny. Did someone bully you? Tell me, I'll take revenge for you," said Pete, our elder brother.

Jenny whimpered and pretended to accidentally move her hand away, showing her face with finger marks on it.

"What happened to your face? Who hurt you? Who the hell was it? "Daniel barked.

In a sobbing voice, Jenny shook her slim white neck, "I'm fine. It doesn't hurt at all. Cynthia didn't mean to smack me. I'm comfortable already."

Her expression was so pitiful, and she looked so kind that no one would take her words as a complaint. This was her usual trick.

In my previous life, I was also completely fooled by Jenny. I never doubted my sister.

I thought that Jenny loved me as much as I loved Jenny. But in fact, Jenny was always keen to pretend to be bullied by me in front of others as a way to convince them that I was a grumpy, willful daughter of the Alpha.

Sure enough, the people around her fell for her trick again.

"You're her little sister, Cynthia can't take it out on you even if she's in a bad mood. Look at your pretty face, it's all scratched up." said Alice.

Alice is Daniel's sister. She is that kind of girl who seems righteous and brave, as if she is always on the side of fairness.

She's been Rosebud Pack less than a month and has gained the love and trust of everyone.

In particular, Pete, my brother, is practically obsessed with Alice.

I also admired Alice a lot in my previous life, and I even actively set Alice and Pete up together. However, I now wonders if Alice is a member of the Rebel Army or not and whether Alice was involved in Daniel's conspiracy.

Jenny caught a glimpse of me, and she immediately dried her tears and said loudly, "Alice, please don't say that. Cynthia is my sister, she is the one who loves me the most. I know Cynthia didn't mean to slap me."

Here she goes again. Jenny tries to contrast my selfishness and brutality with her kindness and forgiveness.

"Father, please don't scold Cynthia!"

"Pete, it's not her fault, it's my fault, I shouldn't have made her angry!"

"Daniel, I'm fine, don't worry about me, Cynthia needs your comfort."

The more Jenny spoke humbly, the more the others felt sorry for her and gathered around her to comfort her.

Father initially rushed back to take care of me, but he was disappointed when he heard Jenny say that I had lost my temper again and even hit Jenny.

"Cynthia, when are you going to be as considerate as Jenny? Your brother and I just calmed down the residents' anger after you caused such big trouble. Why did you make this mess again as soon as we got home? Can't you just give us a break?"

If it was I in my previous life, I would definitely have argued with my father.

Just as my mother said, my father was a typical strict father. No matter how much he loved me in his heart, he would never say it.

So I always thought my father hated me. It was not until my father was dying that I realized how much he had done to protect me.

So now, instead of retorting, I looked deeply into my father's familiar face and shed tears of regret.

"Dad, I was wrong. I shouldn't have been so willful. I was wrong. I was wrong. Please forgive me."

No one expected me to cry, let alone apologize. To them, I was a capricious and proud girl.

Father and Pete were shocked and immediately ran over to coax me.

Pete said to me, "Don't cry. Don't cry. Cynthia. It's no big deal."

Father stumbled over his words nervously, "I just said that casually. I'm not angry. Does your wrist still hurt?"

"Father! Pete! I'm sorry!" I cried, hugging them tightly, then reaching out an arm to hug my mother, "Mom! I'm sorry!"

I vowed that I would protect these three in my arms throughout my life. They are the people who loved me the most in the world.

The Third-Partys

POV

Jenny saw the four clinging to each other, and her nose turned up in jealousy.

Daniel even whispered to her, "Jenny, I'm going to comfort Cynthia too."

"No," Jenny whispered with a pout as she grabbed Daniel's sleeve, "I won't allow you to go over there and comfort that bitch. She just punched me in my face."

"Keep your voice down, "Daniel interrupted her nervously, "Don't let anyone find out about our relationship. Listen. I'll come to your room with you tonight."

Only then was Jenny willing to let go of Daniel. Daniel came to Cynthia side and asked in a gentle voice, "Baby, does your wrist still hurt?"

Daniel's voice sent chills down Cynthia’s back. She felt scared and sick.

From the moment she stepped into the hall, Cynthia had noticed Daniel and Jenny making eyes at each other.

It turned out that Daniel and Jenny had not had a one-night stand after her pregnancy but had been cheating on her behind her back for a long time.

Hatred consumed Cynthia’s heart, but she tenderly raised her hand to Daniel instead of showing it, just as Jenny had done.

"It hurts. It's still bleeding. I'm so scared Daniel."

Cynthia glanced at Jenny, then continued, "I didn't mean to slap Jenny.I grabbed my wrist so hard that it hurt like hell. I told her to let go of me. I grabbed it pretty tight.I had to smack her."
