Signs II

I walked into the parking lot of Laurent's Inc. feeling Vanir's body solidly behind mine as he led me to his car, his hand on the small of my back.

"I don't have anything to wear", I said as he slipped into the driver's seat, strapping on the seatbelt.

"That's not a problem", Vanir responded, smiling like a Cheshire cat as he drove out of the lot into the main road, smoothly fitting into a lane as the streetlights came on, chasing away the darkness

"What do you mean by that's not a problem. You don't actually expect me to go to a club in office clothes", I asked, my eyes going to him in incongruity.

"Now I won't do that. I need something to look forward to", Vanir laughed and pulled up in front of one of the renowned fashion houses in Moon City.

"Howw?", I stuttered, staring in awe at the golden signage glittering from the night glow that read La Rafeyette. "How are we here?"

"We drove here, darling", Vanir retorted, escorting me to the front door as I glared at him.
