Queen of Shifting Fates: A Supernatural Awakening.

She wakes up in a dark and musky room, her whole body aches and she can smell blood all over, she tries to move but she is restricted, and she looks down finding herself bound by shackles, and she remembers that this is her home now for heaven knows how long. She lost track of how long she has been here as she can't see anything outside.

A low chuckle is heard from the corner of the room, and her head snaps in that direction, she can't feel Luna or Aurora's presence and she starts to panic She could feel their presence slightly before the last beating., but now they are gone, yet again she is a weak human.

Dutch steps forward smiling his disgusting manic smile.

"I'm glad to see you are awake, I have been getting tired of waiting" He steps forward and grab her arm roughly pulling her up. He holds her at arm's length looking at her bruised face

"We did a number on you didn't we. It was necesary though, but I will keep in mind to avoid this pretty face of yours, I don't want to look at this when I take you to my bed" He pulls her closer and forces a kiss on her, his awful pungent smell makes her nauseous and she fights against him, and she manage to turn in his arms and lands a blow to his ribs with her elbow making him let go of her.

He hits her in the face and when she falls he kick her a few times, he turns around and walk to the door and before he exits he look over his shoulder

"oh I'm going to enjoy taming you little one" he snickers and walks out.

She curls up in a foetal position and cries. hoping she would die soon. She thinks of Landon and Jarek, her mates that promised her that no one would ever hurt her, but they are nowhere to be seen. She mourns the loss of Luna and Aurora. she feels empty and have no will left to live. Just as she wants to give up, she hears it. Loud noises, growls hisses and fighting, she sighs, although she is being kept in this prison, she could hear the chaos outside since the day Dutch cut her arms and took her blood, he wouldn't tell her why, only that this is his first step to his plan.

A loud roar and growl get closer and she tries to make herself small in the corner of the room, then the door burst open and Landon and Jarek steps in frantically looking around. Landon sees her and rushes forward cradling her, while Jarek tries to release her breaking the shackles.

"we are here now baby, we will get you out soon" Jarek says but another demon soldier attacks him, he is struggling against him as the demon injected him with something. the walls break with a thunderous roar following and the demon burst into fire

"come on, our ride is here" Landon says picking her up and lay her down, on something cold before returning to get Jarek, Just as they are lifted into the air she fades away into darkness.

A Few months earlier

Beep... Beep.. Beep

"What is that awful sound?" Tessa thought to herself as the tries to open her eyes through a throbbing headache. She tries to sit up but feels like something is weighing her down.

"Miss... Please try to calm down, you are in the hospital with severe injuries, fighting won't help, it will only make things worse" a sharp voice says.

Tessa instantly froze with shock. What is she talking about? as she took in a deep breath part of a memory flashes in her head. The last thing she remembered was packing yet again, moving to yet another isolated town with her parents in the middle of the night, hurriedly throwing her clothes in a suitcase. She never knew the reasons to the sudden moves; she saw it as normal as they moved around every few months since she was little. She asked once when she was seven years old, but the fury and wildness in her mother's eyes ging her a short unfriendly answer stopped her from ever asking again, that was different than the always loving, caring and quite over-protective mother she knew.

"What happened to me? Tessa asked exhausted

"You were in a car accident miss Schmidt."

Tessa saw the hesitation in the nurse's eyes and she knew something terrible happened, she may not have great people skills due to never being able to bond with people other than her parents due to not staying long in one place and being homeschooled, but she saw that look time and again in her father's eyes when they had to move.

"Where is my family? I know my mom and dad would never leave my side willingly so where are they?" she asked in a panicking voice hearing the machines go of rapidly with her racing heart.

"Let me go and het the doctor, he should be the one talking to you." The nurse left the room quickly almost too quick, and Tessa sank back into the bed with her head feeling like it wants to explode.

She looked down and saw her one leg in a cast, a lot of scrapes and bruises across her body, that instant she lifted her hand to her face, she flinched at the touch, her hand moved up and then she felt that bandages covering her head. a Quick flash of headlight invaded her thoughts, a quick memory... not enough to trigger anything else to remember. As she tries to remember her thoughts were interrupted by a deep voice.

"Ms Schmidt, I'm Doctor O'ryan. I am so glad to see you are awake, for a time you had us worried there, I had to do my best to keep you from going into that white light you seemed eager to get to." The doctor thought it was a good time to make a joke but to Tessa it seemed distasteful. All she could seem to utter is a short snort to show her annoyance.

Seeing her annoyance the doctor picked up her chart and read through is, With a calm demeanour he talk softly to the nurse before writing something down before turning back to Tessa.

She watched him quietly, strong nose and chin, full rosy lips and golden blond hair and blue eyes, if her whole body wasn't in such pain she would have easily gushed over this man. she looked up and see a very serious look and it made her body tenses making her flinch once again.

"Miss, taken in considesation the seriousness of the injuries you acquired during the accident, you are healing rather quick, in most cases head injuries like yours take patients months to heal and wake up, it has only been two days. At this rate you will be able to move around and be discharged in no time" Tessa look at him confused, she healed very quick since a young age so it was not anything new to her, she thought it was normal because her parents were the same.

"Ok, So when can I see my parents then? Why are they not here?" Tessa begins to worry, they should be here, they never let her out of their sight, always telling her that she can trust only them, she looked at the doctor and nurse, they are hiding something big she can see it in the way they stiffened when she asked for her family. The doctor took a deep breath, and sat down next to her on the bed took her hand and looked a little sad when he started to talk."

"Miss, I am truly sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Your Parents did not make it out alive, you were found next to the road by someone, they didn't even know about them also being in the car until you regained consciousness here briefly and asked for them, we sent out someone to go look for them where you were found but it was just too late, I am so sorry."

Tessa felt like something was squeezing her heart into mush. No, no, no! It can't be true! They can't be gone!

She started to cry uncontrollable her whole-body aches but nothing compared to the feeling of emptiness in her heart. She was left all alone in this big world. always on the run but never knew why. How will she be able to save herself if she doesn't even know what or who is outside lurking from the shadows
