Hi everyone! I am truly sorry for not having updated this book in like forever! As you all may know I have been struggling with my health and sadly I did have to go back in for surgery to correct another problem that had arised and for the past few months I have been recovering in and out of the hospital. I have just now started feeling more up to writing, now that my brain isn't so cloudy with all the pain and pain meds. So, it is my hope to hopefully be able to start updating more and adding more chapters soon. Please know that with having double surgeries like I did that I may still have days that I may not feel up to updating. The engine roared to life as Mrs. Mullberry turned the ignition, quickly slamming the truck into drive has she hit the gas jolting me back into the seat. Making my heart race even faster from the sudden movement. I couldn't help but glance at the side mirror, waitng for his face to appear once more. BOOM! BOOM! sounds from my bedroom door, groaning under the pressure as if it was going to break in half at any moment. " Get the fuck out of bed stupid bitch," I hear from the man who's supposed to be my protector. " If you make me late again, I promise you'll regret it for the rest of your pathetic life!" The ride to school was a slow and painful one. Being on consistent alert that he could pull over at any given time and rip me from the back seat, had my stomach churning and tied in knots. We soon reached the school's parking lot. I watched as a few other students hurried away into the building. As he parked his truck I hear him tell me " To get my filthy piece of shit ass out of his truck!" I scramble to open the door hurrying to get out. I walk quickly to walk in front of him, taking the few steps two at a time to get faster into the school. The rest of school went by in a blur. Not caring for all the prying eyes after my emotional display in English. I would say most of the looks were of pity... but in my life all I did was give them more ammo to make fun of my loss and bully me more. Thankful to be almost home, I see that my step father's truck is missing from the driveway. Praying that ment an easy night for me. I slowly crack the front door open, walking in. My nerves were on fire, making me itch all over. I couldn't sit still. Sitting in the kitchen at the table, glancing every few seconds to the clock on the stove. Those two hours of waiting to head over to Tawnya's house were unbearable. Jumping at every little noise. Moving quickly I rushed out grabbing the white box, glancing over to my house breathing out in a sigh of relief that my step father still wasn't home and wouldn't see me out here, as I walk back into the house T looks at the rectangular box in my arms smiling wide. A loud thud rang out through the house downstairs, making me jolt awake, my body trembling lightly as I sat up on the guest bed listening for any more racket. Waking up the next day to the steady sound of the alarm beeping, I could feel every tight pinch of my muscles, as they protested angerly with every slight movement I took. Sitting up I say a quiet thank you to whoever maybe listening up above thankful to see Tasha was still peacefully sleeping.
