Horres

“Alpha, the physician wants to see you right away. She said the princess is having an episode. She didn’t want to allow anyone else to get close to her, since those were your orders.”

What tricks could she be pulling right now? “Oxley, you know I’m eating, and I wouldn’t step away from this table unless I was done with my meal.”

Why would he look this worked up over Holmes’ princess? Besides, I wasn’t her guard or lady-in-waiting.

“Where did that scream come from?” I think I just heard someone screaming about some poisons.

“Alpha, that’s the princess. She had a breakdown when poisons were mentioned to her.” Poisons?

“Why would she be screaming because someone mentioned poisons? What? Could that be her new method of seeking attention and outsmarting even you?”

Why the heck was this damn princess screaming her lungs out as if we owed her the peace of this pack?

“Alpha, I saw her, and I could say for a fact that she wasn’t pretending this time.” Mmmm! Even Oxley believed her,

Celeste“I didn’t do it.” I kept chanting those words like a mantra. The goddess knew I was innocent. Earlier on, everything happened so fast that I couldn’t react in time. I… I couldn’t even do anything about… that thing.“Mmmmm!” I tried to speak, but he wasn’t having it. Alpha Horres was already convinced that I ripped his warrior’s heart out of his chest. He was so certain that no one stopped to wonder how a wolfless trash like Celeste Holmes could do that. No matter what happened, I was always the guilty party. Nobody considered the possibility that I had blood on my hands because I wanted to save the warrior. I never wished him dead, but here I was, being choked to death. I was innocent of all the charges against me, but no one gave a shit. I could only watch my miserable life flash past my eyes as I imagined how ashamed I would have been if I faced my mother in the afterlife. I promised to fulfill her dying wish, but all I ever did was bring disgrace to her name. Beta Oxley

  • A Breeder for the Vindictive Alpha   057: I can save him

HorresOxley could kneel for as long as he wanted. He might even sleep on the floor and roll over, but that wouldn’t change my mind. I had to do my duty and rid the pack of the hidden dangers before handing over the reins to him. If I allowed him to take over as things were, I might just be the worst predecessor ever. Oxley wouldn’t refuse to offer me a hand when it was time to take out Alpha Holmes and that old geezer. First, I had to hand over and find myself a cure before… Wait! I think I missed something. Everything began to change after I f*cked the Holmes girl. F*ck me! Could she be the cure to my problem? Come to think of it—I only took her yesterday, and my condition improved drastically today. This couldn’t be a coincidence. No. No. It wasn’t. Why didn’t I think of this earlier? Alpha Holmes might as well be the reason for my situation. How else could his daughter be the reason my situation improved so suddenly?Knowing that man, he wouldn’t intentionally try to help me c

Horres“O, ye mighty Dragon, why don’t you use your supernatural abilities to revive them, huh?” My question caught him off guard, and he couldn’t hide the panic in his gaze. I didn’t know why he came to my pack, but I had no reason to entertain his folly anymore. “Now, drag those deadbeats and clear off my lands.” I barked the order particularly sharply, making him feel the fury in my words.Dragon was away from the pack before I could say jack. “Mark my words, Dragon, next time, there will be no burial ground for you lot.” All the rogues around the tree on which the arrow landed dropped dead before they could discover what hit them. All they had to do was breathe, and that breath became their last. A few of them who were further away from the tree only experienced dizziness, but they would live. This was as far as my mercy on Dragon went. If this bastard ever dared to encroach on my lands again, I wouldn’t bother tearing him to shreds. Today, some of them got poisoned, but the res

  • A Breeder for the Vindictive Alpha   055: Lurking in the dark

HorresThe rogues wanted their leader to fight one-on-one with me, and if I didn’t, the fight might end up with the pack members. I couldn’t tell what made them so convinced that they could trample on my pack, but they sure wouldn’t get anything from me. It wasn’t as if we were helpless against their attack. I just had to avoid anything that involved summoning my wolf. “I wouldn’t be here if I were you, Dragon.” I taunted, a smirk conveying my scorn for this coward. “The last time we met, I gave you the beating of your life, but you chose to walk into your doom today. What could be worth losing your stupid head for?” My voice travelled to every corner of the pack, and even I was shocked to discover what this was. Voice projection was only possible when one’s wolf was awoken. It wasn’t like I never got a wolf, but mine went into a deep slumber and never communicated with me ever since. How could I achieve voice projection to such a far distance when there was no response from my wolf

HorresThe pack looked so chaotic as my members ran helter-skelter. I wish I could just say something in the mindlink to calm them down. I wanted them to hear their alpha’s voice and stay positive, yet nothing could be done about it. I watched their panicky expressions and couldn’t imagine how scared they might be. Since the arrival of Celeste Holmes into the pack, I hadn’t had the peace that used to be enjoyed by the Iron Fang Pack. If I were to find out that she was the mastermind, I wouldn’t bother about making her pay, no matter how good it felt to be buried inside her. I knew her presence here wasn’t for the best, but for the Holmes’ to be so brazen and attack me twice in a row, there wouldn’t be anywhere for her to hide. After all, she didn’t care about her life when she stole my seal.As I ran toward the pack borders, I reached for my bow and shot an arrow toward an attacker who tried to climb over the wall. I knew I had issues with my wolf. I couldn’t shift, and I couldn’t h

  • A Breeder for the Vindictive Alpha   053: Speed

Horres“Alpha, good morning.” I wonder why Oxley chose to visit me at dawn, knowing I was tired from the previous day. Didn’t he realize he just interrupted my long-awaited sleep? That daughter of Alpha Holmes was really something. I wouldn’t even be surprised if Oxley hid somewhere yesterday after exiting this room. Nothing else could mistake that smirk on his face that he had been trying so hard to hide. Did this busybody really hear our voices last night? How troublesome!“What’s so good about the morning, Oxley?” If I had doubts about his knowledge of yesterday’s events, everything quickly became clear as soon as he broke out into a knowing smile.“I just sent your breeder on her way, you know. She waited outside for your summons all night, but it never came.” What! She stayed out in the cold from last night till now? Did she think I wanted her dead or what? I told her to leave, so why did she wait there until morning?“Why?” I couldn’t understand why she would be at my door when
