LOGINHorres
“Greetings, Alpha, I…. I…” Alpha Horres took me for a fool, huh? So his favorite daughter just happened to be the wolfless trash who didn’t even qualify to be called a Holmes.
Hmmmph! What a joke! Did he think the Iron Fang Pack was a dumpsite? He really went out of his way with this peace offering.
She was only on a journey for two days, yet she couldn’t even walk properly. How could she be anybody’s Luna?
“Alpha,” My first beta walked into the room, his presence reminding me of all the warriors who died under his watch.
Why didn’t Kylie die as well? He didn’t even sustain the slightest injury. It was as if he hid somewhere as the fight was going on. How else could he have escaped unscathed?
Even Gamma Lorna didn’t survive the ‘rogue attack.’ She was one of my finest warriors, yet she succumbed so easily. Yet…
Calm down, Horres. This was just a ploy by that bastard, Holmes. He wanted to plant a seed of doubt, and you couldn’t possibly allow him to have his way, right? Yet still…
Fuck me! I couldn’t even have a proper sleep in the last three days. Thinking about the whole ordeal had drained me so much.
Alpha Holmes… Rest assured, I would surely give you a slow and painful death. For now, I couldn’t thank you enough for sending a toy my way.
“Your father killed seven warriors and offered you for peace. What could wolfless trash like you offer the Iron Fang Pack?” I could feel her raw fear and horror as she knelt there weakly. She was right to be terrified of me. After all, she didn’t have a clear conscience to begin with.
“Tell me, Celeste, do you think you really qualify to be a spy in my pack? Couldn’t your father even send someone worthy?”
She raised her head abruptly, a petrified look marring her face. Did she think I was oblivious?
“Alpha, Celeste truly isn’t the alpha’s favorite. However, she volunteered to be the peace offering. She mentioned that she had her ways to make your pain go away. Alpha Holmes just couldn’t refuse her sincerity. She is also his beloved daughter, after all…”
I couldn’t believe a mere servant dared to speak in front of me. One thing I picked up from this was that she had no regard for my peace offering.
One look was all it took for Oxley to sever that annoying head from her neck.
I wasn’t surprised to see my peace offering shivering like a leaf at the sight of the body.
“Alpha, please, have mercy. I swear by the moon goddess... I am not a spy.” I guess she believed her own lie, because I didn’t feel her pulse quicken when she said this. How interesting! She must have undergone special training to be able to keep her facade this calmly.
Alpha Holmes gifted me a spy Luna, huh? Interesting.
“Pass my orders. The daughter of Alpha Holmes would be my breeder from henceforth. If she doesn’t bear an heir in a year, she will be punished according to the customs of the Moon Howler Pack. After all, we wouldn’t want to judge her with rules that are unfamiliar to her.”
My two betas stared at me as if I had developed a new head.
Well, as for the peace offering, she looked like I had just passed down her death sentence. She didn’t have the slightest wish of living in peace here, did she?
“Tell me, breeder, what is the penalty for failing to fulfill a breeder’s duties?” I wanted her to say the words herself. She would be more familiar with the rules than me. It’s from her pack, after all.
“The alpha’s breeder is a branded slave who must warm his bed to his satisfaction. She is not allowed to waste the seeds of the alpha by consuming any concoctions that stop pregnancy. In a given time, the breeder must provide pups for the alpha. Failure to do so…” I felt her tremble at this point, and I could tell my wait was worth it. All that explanation meant nothing to me. I only wanted her to get to this part.
“The breeder must serve all the warriors who protect the alpha as a way of lessening his burdens.” Good.
“In other words, the breeder becomes the pack’s whore after failing to provide an heir, right?” She bobbed her head up and down, grabbing the message. The daughter of Alpha Holmes, servicing my warriors and every other person I offer her to, huh? First, I have one year to make her wish she had never been born.
“According to the customs of your pack, the breeder is a slave who must also serve the Luna, and she could never become Luna, even if she were the last she-wolf in the pack.”
“Y… Yes, Alpha.” Her voice trembled at my words. She didn’t match up to the pinkie of Gamma Lorna, but she would spend her days atoning for her father’s sins, wishing for nothing but death.
“Come here. I need to take a closer look at those treacherous eyes of yours.” She got up onto her feet and wobbled her way toward me.
When she was about two feet from me, my breeder went on her knees once again.
I raised my hands and grabbed her hair, and surprisingly, it felt silky and particularly smooth to the touch.
So he sent a temptress, huh? She looked exactly like the vixen she was meant to be. However, I also felt her body burning up.
Being doused with cold water so early in the morning did the magic. My pitiful little breeder. Tsk!
I threw her head back, forcing her to fall butt-down. I didn’t like the sense of familiarity she evoked in me. I could swear I never met her before this, yet…
“You stink. Next time you appear before me, make sure you look like a she-wolf worthy to breed my pups.”
I could always punish her for failing to meet the standards of my breeder, after all.
“Oxley,” I called out to my second beta.
“Alpha,” Came his response.
“My whore has tainted my eyes.” Understanding that I wanted her punished, Oxley dragged her out of the room. I realized he was still careful enough not to leave a single bruise on her skin.
As for Celeste, she didn’t even resist in the slightest.
“Kylie, go and rest. I would summon you after seven days.”
Speak of having a terrible fate
Celeste I didn't know if it was my fearful look or something else, but both Beta Oxley and Slater turned toward the direction my gaze was fixed. She looked totally battered, almost unrecognizable. There were scars all over her face and body, with blood trailing down her forehead. Well, through it all, I could still tell, just like them, that the person who was bleeding from her hands after supposedly hitting the railings for so long was Gamma Rhea. She just rested her head between two iron bars, breathing like every breath was her last. However, she also didn’t fail to glare at me as if she wanted to tear me to shreds. I shouldn’t have thought about that, but the memory of her last visit to the dungeon got me so pissed. I was no saint, so I decided to mess with her as well. At least I knew my limits, something she clearly didn’t. The other crazy wolves began to bang the iron bars when they realized we were paying attention to the others and ignoring them. They wanted to fight, b
Celeste“No. The beta is Alpha Horres’ right-hand man, Lyra. If he finds out I have a wolf… We’re both dead.” Lyra’s disagreement was felt strongly in our mind-link. I already fed Beta Kylie the medicine as she suggested. “If you don’t heal him now, no one leaves here alive.” Huh? Lyra didn’t sound like she was joking.I glanced around the shelter at that moment, already panicking. The situation was truly getting out of hand. Many more infected wolves had their eyes turning different shades of red. Some already began attacking the people beside them, without considering who they were. It was as if they suddenly became mere shells of their former selves. “Soulbane has different effects on different people. The beta possesses a very strong willpower. The poison starts eating deep into his soul as soon as it attacks. He would get out of control if we didn't save him now.” Oh, my goodness! “Do we really need to expose the truth to the second most dangerous person in the pack?”I alrea
Celeste“Madam Zorah, what can we do now? Everything is getting out of hand.” As I got closer, I heard Maita’s devastated voice, guilt washing over my being. I nearly escaped from the pack without thinking about this duo. How could I be so ungrateful? “I don’t know, Maita. This is strange. I haven’t seen anything like it before. I don’t know what to do.” They both sounded so broken and terrified. “I do.” I stood beside Madam Zorah, my eyes already scanning the spread of herbs in the room. I could feel the two women, young and old, fixing a burning gaze on me, but my attention was already on the herbs. I needed to find what Lyra described. “Are these all the herbs you brought?” I continued scanning the place, even though my question was directed to Madam Zorah. “Th… There’s more.” Both she and Maita were absolutely in sync because the remaining herbs were presented by Maita—even before Madam Zorah could recover from the shock. How was I to find what Lyra wanted when all these h
CelesteCould this be a new poison I was yet to know about? I could boast of discovering any poison and coming up with the antidote, but this... However, if I didn’t even discover that I was poisoned, then Lyra was right. If not for a nameless poison, why else would my body be on the verge of breaking apart for no reason? I kept feeling heart-wrenching pain at different parts of my body, only for her to say I was poisoned.Such a humbling moment. It felt as though someone had given me a hard punch in those spots earlier. However, I was right here. I haven't stepped out of this shelter since my arrival. How could someone hit me here without my knowledge? What sort of poison was this?Guess I could accept that someone used a poison I’d never come across and couldn’t even detect. What did Lyra even mean by it shouldn’t have appeared here? Could it have some hidden, devastating abilities? “Lyra, do you mean they had the same poison that was used on me?” If the other pack members were
CelesteIt had been a long while since I was woken up from my sleep. The walk from the Alpha’s chambers to the dungeon was quite a long one, if anyone bothered to ask me. I had to walk around like I was disabled or someone who had a deformity, just because I served the alpha last night. Again! And again… And again… Till I lost consciousness. That was the only thing that saved me from the alpha’s hands. I could never resist his touch, even though my body always proved worn out. As soon as his hands touched certain places… “Whew!”Alpha Horres really did a number on me. Again! He always did. I was doing a good job in keeping my position as the alpha’s bed warmer. He could call me a breeder or whatever else he wanted to name me. At the end of the day, I was the she-wolf who always ended up in his bed. At least that was better than sleeping in the dungeon. Well, I always left there, battered, enduring body pains that made everyone understand that I was taken by the alpha the night befor
HorresWhat the f*ck did he mean by "you are still standing?” Besides, his eyes were fixed on the bloodstains on my hand. My fangs were already retracted, but the black blood stains were still on my hand. A regular kill wouldn’t have looked like this, but this was something else. The supposed blood was pitch black, giving off no particular smell. Wait! Could these people be the source of the poison? Were they the carriers? If that were the case, I had to get them away from the pack borders before their poison spread any further. “You really are not affected by anything.” The masked man made another discovery, affirming my belief that the poison was for a whole different purpose. They couldn’t just come here to make my pack members fall into slumber and leave. “What are you people? You don’t even bleed?” I taunted back, observing the patch of black blood on my hand—or whatever I could call that. “Hahaha!! You fascinate me, Horres.” The masked man declared before taking a few ste
Celeste I trembled where I stood as the omega stepped away with a triumphant grin on her face. She wouldn’t even respond to my questions after dropping that bomb on me. What did she mean by that? I was boiling so much that wiping that grin off her face with my fangs would have been an awesome ide
Celeste “Walk faster, princess.” The two omegas had been sent to fetch me, yet they didn’t look like they had any time to waste on trash like me. To make matters worse, they refused to respond to all my questions. The only thing they were willing to do was to command me to move faster to wherever t
Celeste “Are you for real, Lyra? You’re really apologizing to me right now?” I was momentarily stunned and couldn’t figure out why she suddenly sounded so nice for no reason. I was already used to her jabs and careless utterances. I knew Lyra didn’t like me, and if given the chance, she might even
Celeste“If it’s not the accomplice we were looking for.” Holy crap! It really was her. How… How did she know Maita was here? Those words and the sound of that voice made my soul almost fly out of my body. Her whole presence traumatized me terribly. It was only a few days ago that she tried to kill
