I strode into my chambers and went straight to the bedroom to check up on Aria.

But I found the bed empty.

“Where could she be?” I muttered to myself scanning the room.

I had just stepped out to instruct the guards on their tasks.

I stopped just as I was about to call out her name.

I didn't want her misunderstanding my actions again. Like she did earlier.

“Did she really misunderstand?” a rumble echoed in my head.
