Third Person's POV Aiden isn't sure how long he was hanging from the ceiling after his beating. He woke up in agony, unsure how much time had passed. Some of his wounds had scabbed over, but most of them continued to bleed, adding to the puddle underneath him. The Omega passed out again, drifting in and out of consciousness. He woke up again when his body hit the ground, and he cried out in agony. Aiden saw through tear-filled eyes as Jackson walked away without looking back. The chains that were on his wrist were gone, and they ached. Deep gouges were left on his wrist from the weight of his body pulling on the metal cuffs, causing them to dig into his flesh. The basement was almost the same as his previous one. An old, dirty mattress lays on the floor just off to the right of the place where he was tortured. Aiden crawls to the mattress and lays on it. It smells horrible, but it's better than the cold hard cement floor.Aiden lies on his side, curled up in a ball. His back is in t
Third Person's POV After what felt like an eternity, Thaddeus finally knows where Aiden is. Marcus and Leo are Thaddeus's best trackers, and they found him. Jackson has him in a cabin on a piece of property his father owns east of Asher's territory, and it's not guarded. It's just Jackson and two other people, one of them being Eric. Eric has been working with Jackson and was one of the people who was armed with a dart gun that day. It makes Thaddeus sick knowing how that bastard treated Aiden under his nose. Thaddeus looks out at the group of 50 men standing outside the front of the pack house. He barks off his orders and then shifts. With Marcus, Leo, and 50 warriors, the Alpha leads his men to rescue his Luna. “Hang on baby, I'm coming,” Thaddeus said to a link that wouldn't open. Thaddeus couldn't wait to have his Omega back in his arms. The nights have been so lonely and cold without him. The Alpha has barely slept. He stares out the window every night, thinking about his Om
Third Person's POV It's been almost two weeks since everything happened, and Thaddeus is still a mess. He hardly eats and barely sleeps. He hasn't left that room, he can't!Thaddeus wants Aiden back in his arms. He wants things back the way they were. Thaddeus misses holding Aiden. He misses the way the Omega would climb on top of him in the middle of the night. He misses the beautiful sound of his purr. He missed looking into his beautiful blue eyes. He misses how the Omega would glare at him when he got angry, ‘Goddess, he was adorable when angry!’ Thaddeus thought. It's been three days since he's been back home, and he hasn't left this room. He can't, not until Aiden wakes up. The doctor said I got him there just in time. He lost so much blood he was moments away from dying. His poor body was so badly beaten. That bastard hurt him so bad, not just his back, but down there. The doctor said it was the worst she had ever seen, and the internal damage was extensive. He was so torn he
Third Person's POV Thaddeus didn't understand what he had done wrong. His mate wouldn't let him touch him, and the way he jerked his arm out of his hold hurt. His heart ached; he felt like the biggest failure. It was becoming more obvious that Aiden blamed him for what happened to him. He must be disappointed that his mate couldn't protect him. What kind of Alpha can't protect his Luna? Thaddeus wondered as he reached down to rub the phantom pain in his leg, just to realize he couldn't feel it. Another harsh reminder of how useless he is. Thaddeus growled as he swiped everything off his desk with one swoop of his arm. Hateful words echo in his head that his first mate said to him. The look of disgust flashes in his head. The way Aiden looked at his legs the first time he noticed they didn't work sent a pang to his heart.Zeus whimpered as he receded to the dark recesses of his head. Thaddeus can't feel Aiden. He's not sure if it's because his walls are up or if it's because of what
Third Person's POV Aiden woke up feeling warm and comfortable. He nuzzled into his pillow when the weight on his back suddenly moved, and fingers raked through his hair. His stomach dropped, and he squeezed his eyes tight. A whimper slipped past his lips as fear took hold. Hands grip his shoulder, and tears begin to fall, knowing he's back. Aiden prays he'll just go away. Maybe he won't rape him again. Maybe he won't beat him this time. He's sick of the pain; He doesn't want to experience it again.Aiden’s breaths become faster and it becomes harder to breathe. He can hear a voice, but it's distant and muffled, as though he was underwater. Aiden feels paralyzed by fear, unable to move as an arm wraps around him, adjusting his body. A hand firmly turns his head and presses his ear against a bare chest. Aiden begins to feel an incredibly strong vibration against his face. The vibration is strong, and the sound coming from the chest is loud. It breaks through the cage that held him pris
Aiden's POV It's been 3 weeks since I've been back, and the nightmares are getting better, I'm having fewer of them. Thaddeus told me they got Eric, but they were unable to get Jackson. Jackson was able to escape, and that terrifies me! I know he's going to come for me again, and I want to be ready this time. Abigail and I have been training much harder, and our powers have grown significantly. Abigail thinks that the better we get at using them, and the more we use them, the stronger we will be. My aim has improved, and I hardly miss when I throw my fire at moving objects, they throw for practice. Abigail on the other hand never misses. She's perfected her abilities, and she's amazing at sparring. I've been training with Marcus 5 days a week. It was really difficult for me at first because I'd never trained before. But I'm a fast learner and I'm getting better each day. We recently started incorporating my telekinesis with sparring, and Marcus says I'm doing amazing. With the
Aiden's POV I'm so excited I can barely sit still as Thaddeus drives. I've never been to a human city or a restaurant! As we drive through the city, I realize it's not that much different than ours, except a little bigger. But Thaddeus said that's because our cities here in the UP are generally smaller. He told me one day, he'll take me down to the mitt, where the cities are much bigger. As we pull up to the restaurant, I'm already in awe. I watch Thaddeus pull his wheelchair out, before climbing into it. It's funny, but this is the only time I seem to realize he's in a wheelchair. Most of the time I don't even see it, I just see him. But seeing him actually pick his wheelchair up and put it back together then climb into it from the car, reminds me of what I've become used to seeing, or just don't see anymore. I know he was afraid his legs would bother me, but they don't, not in the least bit. I love everything about him, including his legs. I smile when he turns my way after shutti
Aiden's POV I must have fallen asleep on the way home because I woke up to the sensation of being lifted out of the car and placed into Thaddeus's lap. I wrapped my arms around his neck and snuggled into him. I felt Thaddeus kiss my forehead and wrap his arms around me. I'm sure at one point I heard the word, adorable. But I was too comfortable, and too cozy in my Alpha's arms, to pay much attention to anything besides his wonderful scent, and his strong arms that made me feel light as a feather, and completely safe. I woke up again when I felt Thaddeus lifting me out of his lap and laying me in bed. I tried to roll over and go right back to sleep. But he laughed as he pulled me back, then pulled my shoes off. I felt Thaddeus pulling my pants off, but I was still too tired to open my eyes, and bother helping, or be embarrassed that I was just stripped of my clothes. I felt the bed dip as he climbed in, before pulling me into his chest. I snuggled my face into his neck and felt Th
