Third Person's POV
The meeting with Alpha Michael only left Thaddeus with more questions. Michael believes the people watching his territory are scouts. But from where and why?
The scouts weren't just watching River Pack from outside its territory. They have been caught deep within Michael's territory several times this past week. However, it seems their main focus is on the southeast corner, where Michael's territory connects to Thaddeus’s near the river. The same place Aiden was found. Could they be looking for him? If so, are these the same people who hurt him?
The Alpha is exhausted by the time he finally makes it back to his bedroom.
Thaddeus was disappointed he's returning so late, and didn't get to say good night to his mate.
Thaddeus enters his bedroom as quietly as he can. He approaches the bed and smiles at what he sees. Aiden is sound asleep, cuddling his pillow. The sheets are wrapped around him, tangled around his legs, with his foot sticking out. It's an adorable sight, and it warms his heart to see Omega snuggling his pillow.
The Alpha can't wipe the smile from his face. He desperately wants to crawl into bed and snuggle up with his mate. He wants to hold his body close and wrap his arms around him… But he settles with sitting beside him and watching him sleep for a few moments.
The Alpha couldn't take his eyes off his mate, not even once he was lying on the chaise. He couldn't believe he had a second chance mate and he was here, sleeping in his bed.
The Alpha isn't sure when he fell asleep, but he woke up feeling more refreshed than he had in a long time. Thaddeus was shocked when he looked at the clock and saw it was 8:00 a.m. Thaddeus never wakes up this late. He's usually awake by 6:00 a.m.
After pulling himself into his wheelchair, the Alpha moves closer to the bed. The morning sun coming in through the window shines down on Aiden. The blankets are pushed down, exposing his back, allowing the rays of sun to dance across his skin.
The Alpha fights the urge to run his fingers along his back.
He looks so peaceful, lying on his stomach so close to the edge of the bed. His face is right near the edge, and the Alpha's fingers itch, wanting to touch him.
Thaddeus's hand reaches up and brushes The Omega's hair away from his forehead. His fingers lightly rake across Aiden's skin, and the Alpha feels those amazing tingles dancing under his fingertips.
Breathtaking blue eyes slowly flutter open and land on him. The Alpha's breath was taken from him; he was absolutely beautiful!
Thaddeus runs his fingers down along the side of Aiden's face. His hand lightly rests against his cheek, and the Alpha's thumb gently caresses it. Thaddeus's heart swells, and he smiles when his mate leans into his touch. But it was brief, and the Omega's body tensed as if realizing what he was doing.
Thaddeus pulled his hand back and smiled, hoping to put the Omega at ease.
“Good morning!” Thaddeus said softly.
Aiden's eyes seem to study his face for a moment. The Omega slightly lifted his head as he adjusted it.
“Good morning,’’ his voice was so soft and so beautiful. It made the Alpha's heart skip a beat.
A loud growl interrupted the silence, and the Omega blushed, embarrassed by the sound his stomach just made. Thaddeus watched the deep blush spread across the omega's face, and the Alpha's smile spread even further. Thaddeus thought he would die of cuteness overload when the Omega turned his head and pressed his face into the pillow, trying to hide his blush.
‘Oh Goddess, he's so cute!’ The Alpha thought as he chuckled.
“Come on, let's get dressed and go down to get something to eat.” The Alpha said as he backed his wheelchair away from the bed and then turned towards the closet.
The Alpha changed his pants in the closet. It was awkward, and he didn't want his mate to see it. Thaddeus placed his shirt in his lap and wheeled himself back into the bedroom.
The Alpha paused when he saw the Omega sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked nervous, which confused Thaddeus.
“What's wrong?”
Aiden tugged at his fingers and nibbled on his lower lip. Thaddeus's eyes narrowed in on that lip, and he found himself wanting to nibble on it himself. He had the strongest desire to reach up and pull that lip free from his teeth and suck on it.
The Alpha cleared his throat when he felt himself getting aroused. He shook his head, trying to get control of himself.
The Omega lifted his head and looked at him before looking down again.
“M-May I use your b-bathroom?”
The Alpha's eyebrows knit together when he realized Aiden was nervous to ask such a simple request. ‘Why was he even asking? Why would he not let him use the bathroom? Did they not allow him to use the bathroom?’ The Alpha found himself wondering.
Thaddeus moved closer and had to restrain himself from reaching out and touching him.
“Of course you can. You don't have to ask permission to use the bathroom. You can use it whenever you want.” Thaddeus said as softly as he could.
The Omega sat there for a moment before standing and then attempting to go to the bathroom. The Alpha saw his legs were wobbly, and he held his breath as he watched the Omega take one step and then another only before he stumbled and fell on Thaddeus's. The Alpha caught Aiden and pulled him into his lap. The Alpha's left arm wrapped around the Omega, holding him flush against his chest.
It was like an explosion of tingles and sparks dancing across their chests, everywhere their unclothed bodies touched. Omega's breath hitched, and his eyes widened.
Their faces were inches from each other. Aiden's eyes were locked on the Alpha's eyes, unable to pull his eyes away. It was like he was in a trance, unable to move. His breaths were shallow, and each exhale fanned the Alpha's face.
Thaddeus slowly reached up with his right hand and gently cupped Aiden's cheek. The Omega's eyes closed, and he leaned into his touch.
Thaddeus's heart soared. This moment was a dream come true for the Alpha. He had dreamed so many times of holding his mate in his arms and seeing him react to his touch like this instead of looking at him with disgust and repulsion. The Alpha longed for this but thought he would never have it.
Thaddeus's thumb caressed the Omega's cheek. His eyes raked over Aiden's delicate skin, taking in every feature, wanting to touch every inch of his face.
The moment didn't last very long. It was like the Omega realized he was doing something he shouldn't, and he quickly tried to scramble out of his lap.
Thaddeus held him, afraid he would fall.
“Hey, calm down. It's okay, I'm sorry. I…I just don't want you to fall.” Aiden stopped fighting against him almost immediately. His body relaxed as he looked at the Alpha.
Thaddeus gave a soft smile and then carefully placed him on his feet.
Once the door closed, Thaddeus let out a breath and ran his hand down his face. The Alpha pushed his hair back as he stared at the bathroom door.
Letting out of breath, Thaddeus went to his dresser and pulled out a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt. After setting everything on the bed, the Alpha made his way to the door. He looked back at the bathroom door one last time before leaving the bedroom and heading downstairs.

Third Person's POV Aiden slowly opened the door and then peeked out. His eyes scanned the room. When he didn't see the Alpha, Aiden slowly stepped into the room. The Omega spots a stack of clothes neatly folded at the end of the bed. He brings the shirt to his nose and smiles when it smells like the Alpha. Aiden eagerly pulled the Alpha’s clothes on but frowned when he realized how large the sweatpants were. It seems no matter how tight he pulled the string, they still wanted to slide right off his hips. The shirt was just like the others. It hung to his knees, but he didn't mind. At least if his pants fell down, the shirt would cover his ass. Aiden was happy with how he looked. Even though the clothes were too big, they were better than anything he'd ever owned. Aiden looked around the room again, looking for the Alpha. He listened for a moment but couldn't hear anything. Aiden slowly walked to the closet and peeked in. He frowned when he didn't see the Alpha. The Omega turned,
Third Person's POV Thaddeus pushed all the plates aside after they were done eating. He was hoping to finally get some answers and find out who did this to him. The Alpha looked at Aiden, who looked content as he leaned back in his chair and licked his lips. His hands rested on his stomach as he let out a little hum. Thaddeus fought the urge to scoop his mate into his arms and squeeze him. ‘He was just too adorable!’ The Alpha thought. “Aiden, can you tell me who did this to you?” The Omega instantly tensed and nervously looked down at his lap as he began playing with his fingers. Thaddeus hated that someone hurt the Omega and made him afraid to talk to his own mate. “I know you are afraid to talk to me. I know you don't know me, but I promise I will never hurt you! You're my mate, sweetheart. I would never hurt you! I care about you… I need to know what happened. I need to know who did this to you. When I said I won't let anyone hurt you again, I meant it. You don't have t
Third Person's POV As Thaddeus approached the training field, he heard Marcus yelling at two warriors as he corrected their stances. The training field is packed with six teams plus their Captain. Each captain is responsible for 50 warriors. With six teams, that's 300 warriors on the training field, and Marcus is their Commander. As Commander of Thaddeus's army, every Captain and warrior is under Marcus’s command. Marcus walks up and down the center aisle, watching each team go through the movements and making sure they're doing them correctly. He nods at a captain helping a struggling Delta 2 through his movements. As Marcus walks a little further, he nods at his friend Roy, another Captain helping a dominant Delta 3. The commander makes it to the end of the line and then turns before commanding everyone to shift to their wolves and proceed with the second part of training. Marcus makes his way back towards the front and smiles when he sees Thaddeus waiting for him. He wa
Third Person's POV Aiden was sound asleep when Thaddeus entered the room, so the Alpha slipped into the bathroom for a quick shower. When the alpha came out of the bathroom, he found Aiden still asleep. The alpha made his way around the bed and stopped in front of Aiden. The Omega was lying in his usual position, face down near the edge of the bed, with his face in the perfect position for the Alpha to look at. The sheets were tangled around his body, and his foot was sticking out. He was adorable! Thaddeus raised his hand and lightly brushed the hair away from his forehead before trailing his fingers down the side of his face and gently cupping his cheek. His thumb lightly stroked the Omega's cheek, and his heart beat faster when his blue eyes fluttered open. The Alpha's heart skipped a beat when those beautiful blue eyes landed on him. The Alpha felt he could live the rest of his life looking into those eyes. They were so magical. They held so many emotions and caused the Alpha t
Third Person's POV Aiden wasn't sure what was going on or why the Alpha suddenly seemed angry. He was shocked when the Alpha yelled at him. The Omega flinched and then wrapped his arms around himself. His eyes stung as they filled with tears, unsure of what he had done wrong. The Omega wasn't sure why it hurt so much, knowing he had made the Alpha angry, or why it hurt even more when he yelled at him. It was nothing like a beating, but somehow, it hurt just the same. Aiden was shocked when the Alpha shifted right there in the dining room. He wasn't sure what was more shocking, the fact that the Alpha shifted inside, or the fact that his wolf was using all four legs… Or maybe it was how massive he was. The Omega had never seen a wolf so big before. Not even his old Alpha was that big. As big and scary as his wolf was, he couldn't help but notice how beautiful he was. He was so black and shiny, and his fur looked so soft and perfect. The Omega was surprised the Alpha wolf had fit
Third Person's POV Aiden held the strange girl, who somehow felt familiar until she stopped crying. He glanced toward the tree line, looking for Thaddeus and wondering where he had gone. The front door swinging open draws Aiden's attention away from Thaddeus. The Omega saw a frantic Xander slide to a stop on the porch. His eyes move to the female in Aiden's arms, and the Beta freezes. Xander's body stiffened as he stared at the girl in his Luna's arms. The Beta just spent the last few minutes searching the pack house for Aiden. When he came out of the kitchen, the Omega was nowhere to be found. He checked the bathroom and nothing. He checked his room, and it was empty. The Beta’s stomach dropped at the thought that the Omega might have gone outside after he was told not to. Xander ran down the stairs faster than he ever had. Not only did the Omega ignore a direct order from the Alpha, but she was in his arms. “Mate!” Oz said as he pressed forward, staring at his mate and hatin
Third Person's POV Without the Alpha, Aiden wasn't sure what to do. He stood awkwardly by the front door, hoping the Alpha would come back soon. He didn't miss the sad expression on the Alpha wolf's face as he walked away. He wasn't sure what it meant or why he looked so sad. He wasn't sure why it affected him the way it did, but it caused the Omega's heart to ache. Aiden glanced out the window, searching for the Alpha, but he didn't see him. The Omega's thoughts go back to his sister. He wondered why he couldn't remember her or anything about his past. What about their parents? Their father, mother, or dad? Are they alive? Did something happen to them? These thoughts raced through the Omega's head but ceased at the sound of voices outside. The Omega jumped and looked out the window next to the door again. His eyes immediately land on pack members walking past, heading toward the tree line. Aiden looked around and wondered if he should be standing somewhere else besides near the
Third Person's POV It's been a month since Aiden ran away. Jackson and his father have been looking for Aiden but haven't found any signs of him. His last known location was the cliff where he jumped into the water. His body hasn't yet been found, nor have there been any signs that he survived. Jackson refuses to believe he's dead. He ignores the rumors when they say there's no way he survived that fall in his condition. Maxwell was surprised the Omega was even able to walk out of there. He knew he got the Omega good that day and expected him to still be unconscious in the morning. The two idiots that fucked up and let Aiden get away were killed for their incompetence. Maxwell was furious and made an example out of them. As far as Jackson goes, he didn't realize how much Aiden meant to him until the Omega was gone. He didn't realize how much he wanted him until he ran away. Now, Aiden is all Jackson can think about. “He’s mine, and I want him back!” Jackson said as he fell
