Chapter 62 I can't do this

Kyle's POV

I have a good feeling we'll find what we've been looking for in the meat samples. I was tempted to skip the fields, but I'd rather not miss anything. Besides, collecting fruit and vegetable samples is much nicer than collecting meat samples at the butcher. I wasn't freezing, and it didn't stink. I had the warmth of the sun, a warm breeze, fresh air, and a handsome man beside me as company.

“So… have you not found your mate, or did something happen to him?” Kevin asked as he closed the lid on a sample jar.

“No. I never found my mate. I don't know if he died when I was younger or if I just never had one,” I said with a shrug of my shoulders.

“Hmmm,” He hummed as he wrote the sample name on the tag with a sharpie.

His question got me thinking about him. I knew he didn't have a mate, but I didn't know why. I didn't know if he had found one and they died or if he was like me and never found his mate at all.

if they feel true to each other, I wonder if that's the goddess saying the relationship is OK. I wish Lucian was doing better to be able to help them with insights from the goddess.

I think they might be second chance mates after Kyle’s mate dies or one of them rejects the other.

Aww I feel sad, but I do understand Kevin he doesn’t want to get hurt, he also doesn’t want Kyle to feel guilty for hurting him if he did find his mate!

Kevin quickly realized why Tate suggested that Noah ride with them instead of taking him back himself. Each time he glanced in the rearview mirror and saw Tate driving comfortably in silence, he was tempted to pull over and throw Noah in the car with him.
