Chapter 79 Does he feel this

last update Date de publication: 2025-06-02 03:48:47
Brandon's POV

I groan as I try to wake up. My body feels like it's been hit by a train. I lick my lips and try to move my hands to rub my eyes, but I can't move them far. I heard the clanking of chains when I moved my hands, and it confused me.

After blinking my eyes several times, my vision finally clears, and I squint as I lift my head and look around. When I look around, I don't recognize my surroundings, but I do recognize the scent of this place and feel the familiarity of the pack I’m in

Hmm, I wonder if they forced the ex-pack member to help them. These guys are so dumb though. They literally saw the cavalry come in and save Leo and Ollie. Does Mark think it won't happen again?

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 103

Maverick's POV The Angel's face softened, and he seemed to walk lighter as he led me toward his Omega son. The Omega kept his toes planted in the grass and lightly swayed the swing back and forth while staring at the ground, paying no attention to the party going on around him. Cassian lifted his head as we approached, and I gasped. His eyes were startling, the most unique shade of blue I've ever seen. The blue is so light they're nearly white. A small smile tugs at Cassian’s lips when he sees his dad, but it quickly disappears when he looks past him and finds me. His lips parted as he quietly sucked a breath in. His wings quickly appear. Feathers that looked delicate and incredibly soft, but could become as hard as steel with a breath. They spanned out to each side, reaching past the ropes that connected to the swing, on each side of his shoulders. He's the definition of ethereal. If he's this beautiful, his sister must have been too, and I'm sure that's where my pretty little an

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 102

Maverick's POV I've never seen this many people visit the pack. Everyone seems to be here, and all the attention is on me. I don't like it. I don't like the attention. I'm used to being alone. I'm used to everyone being afraid of me. I'm not used to so many people knowing about Shade, and I'm definitely not used to so many people excited to meet him, or excited that I'm here. I feel their eyes on me constantly; I can't get away from their stares. The ones with enough guts approach me, and the ones with almost enough guts linger close by, and gawk. It's annoying. I don't like it. “Maverick, my man!” A hand slapped down on my shoulder, and I stiffened. I looked down at the hand, raised a brow, then slowly turned my head and looked at Maddox. The Alpha simply flashed me a smile. Why are the Andersons so… Happy... All the time?! “That's an impressive hound! What kind of abilities do you have?” His eyes held curiosity, his grin held nothing but mischief. “Hm?” He wiggle

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 101

Maverick's POV The stage groans under the weight of Shade’s true form. He stands at his full height, eye to eye with Grayson. The king's lips twitch, tugging up into a smirk before stepping forward and approaching Shade. “I'm sorry for electrocuting you,” Grayson said, and Shade huffed a breath out through his nose, blowing Grayson's hair back. My hound is still a little resentful for being electrocuted, and I'm not particularly proud that I mumbled “mama” just before I passed out. “Go. Let them see they're safe with you.” Grayson nudges his chin toward the crowd before turning to face them.“See for yourself. Shade will not hurt you.” Grayson said just before Shade stepped off the front of the stage. The crowd moved back further, but Shade didn't move once he stepped off the stage. He waited for Grayson to calm the people further. The fear in their eyes said they'd run if he attempted to walk any closer.“Don't be afraid. I give you my word, you're safe with him. Shade is going t

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 100

Coal’s POV I've never seen Maverick scared before, and I don't like it. I wish he trusted our people, but I suppose it's hard to trust after what he's been through. And Reid isn't helping. He trusts me and my judgment, but he doesn't truly trust Maverick, at least not his future and what he's capable of doing if he ever should answer the gate. But he doesn't see what I see. He doesn't feel what I feel. I don't know how to explain it. I just know deep in my bones that he'd never hurt me, or anyone in this pack. I don't know if it's intuition or the Goddess whispering to me, guiding me, and telling me, I don't know. I just know Maverick would never hurt us… The word spread fast about tonight's announcement, and the pack is bustling with excitement that we may have a new shifter. Speculations are running rampant, lions, tigers, mountain lions, and the list goes on. They've guessed everything except what Maverick really is. At least I got Noah to contain himself until after the ann

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 99

Maverick's POV Her head rests on my chest, soft, warm breaths fan my chin and neck. Her warmth surrounds me, those magical little tingles dance along my body everywhere we touch. The light weight of her body feels good, the bond courses between us with a new life, full and complete; raw, intense, and powerful. Even in her sleep, I can feel her mind now. It caresses my own with thoughts of her undying love for me. It's alarming. Shocking. It's overwhelming, and my heart stutters. It's hard to believe someone could love me so deeply, so wholly, so unconditionally and without end. It's hard to believe that my flaws never caused her feelings for me to waver, not even in the slightest. Sure, I scared her when I tried to chase her away by showing parts of me, the scary parts, the parts I thought would surely chase her away, but it only made her more determined not to let me go. A small smile tugs at my lips, and I look down at her beautiful sleeping face. So stubborn!

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 98 A whimper

Maverick's POV It was hard not to rut against her knee. How embarrassing would that be? Her eyes watched me like a hawk as her hand moved lower. I couldn't move or speak, I was afraid that if I did, I'd lose control and do something I'd regret. I don't know what I would do if I hurt her. I'd never forgive myself. I couldn't stop the small jerks of my body from the jolts of pleasure her knee brought me each time it rubbed against my length the right way. She never missed a beat. Her leg continued to move, grinding against me at a sweet, torturous pace. My eyes snapped to her lips when she finally released her lower lip from the restraints of her teeth. I immediately noticed the teeth marks and wanted to lick it to make it better. My mouth opens with intentions to lick her lip, but her knee presses harder against my cock, and a sound I've never heard from myself escapes me. Her heart nearly stops, and for a moment, she's not sure she really heard it, but she knows she did. It was t

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 6 To Family

Ryder’s POVIt's quiet; it almost feels like I'm in her cottage, but I'm not. It doesn't smell like her. This place isn't decorated with her touch. I don't see her everywhere I look. Her garden isn't outside; nothing of her is here except the things of hers I brought with me. I look at them spread o

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 5 Loving his hybrid

Third Person's POV When Coal enters his bedroom, he comes to a stop when he sees his mate lying on the bed. His beautiful little hybrid lies on his stomach with a white sheet draped over his ass. His knees are bent with his feet in the air, ankles crossed, and his toes wiggling as he reads his book

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 4 A game of chess

Third Person's POV “Ha,” Maverick chuckled and rubbed his fingers over his mouth, a sign he was trying not to laugh. “What?” “Oh, nothing.”“Don't “nothing” me! What?” Coal said, his annoyance evident in his voice. “It's just, are you sure you want to make that move?”“Yes! What's wrong with it?

  • The Darkness Within    Chapter 3 Maverick

Third Person's POV Maverick chuckled as the tall Alpha walked away. He brushed the front of his shirt off, trying to wipe her stupid floral scent off of his shirt. He didn't like the way it smelled. He hated flowers, and she reeked of them. You would have thought the little thing had been rolling a
