:
Three days, and for three days, I've been looking for a job, but I couldn't find one. Well, I did find one at first, but I was fired on the first day because my caring sister decided to cause trouble. I just don't know what's wrong with that girl. Because I lost my job, Mrs. Williams wouldn't stop talking about it, but I won't give them a chance to rule my life. I really don't know what to do, but I know one thing for sure—I won't give up. I will keep on trying."Ugggh, why is it so damn hard to find a job?" I left my room and went to the kitchen. I looked around just to make sure none of my family members were home. I don't want to talk to them. I sat down on the kitchen bar stools, trying to decide what I was going to have for breakfast, then my stupid brother showed up, and my appetite flew out the window. I mentally rolled my eyes and decided to leave before he opens his mouth and says something stupid."Victoria, just stop pretending and accept the fact that you're nothing without Mom and Dad. Your life is completely useless. At least they can make it useful. The position is still vacant; just say the word, and you're in. It's as simple as that," he said in a flat tone."Who the fuck is Victoria, and I'm not working for you. I don't need Mom and Dad to be successful and independent." I just feel like strangling him, and being in the same room with him isn't helping."Oh, I thought you were Victoria. What's your name again?" he asked me in a bored tone."None of your fucking business. That's my name. Now get out, I'm trying to eat, and you being in this room isn't helping."He glared at me. Looks like someone is angry. "What's wrong, are you hungry?" I rolled my eyes and faced the other side. I was lost in my own thoughts when someone roughly grabbed my arm, who was none other than my brother. His grip tightened on my arm; it was surely going to leave a bruise."You're hurting me, you jerk! Let go of my arm!""Shut up!" he yelled, making me flinch at the tone of his voice. "I won't tolerate you talking to me like that, especially someone like you. Talk to me like that again, and you won't like the consequences." He roughly pushed me aside, and I landed flat on my ass. Tears filled my eyes, but I wasn't going to cry because of someone like him. I stood up, ready to leave the kitchen, when Maria stopped me. She's the only one who's kind to me; the rest of them are so rude to me, including the maids. I really need to leave this place."Where are you going, my dear? Come, have breakfast with me," she looked at me, her eyes full of concern."I'm not hungry anymore. Thanks, Maria, but I want to be by myself right now." I just hate it here. I need to find money and move to another place. I need my own space.''Come, bambola, I will get you some food," I sat down because she will still force me to eat even if I say no.I managed to find a job or something like that. It was hard convincing the director, but I managed somehow. "Fine, you will try out for the part as a runaway bride. I expect you to do your best after all that ranting that you did. I want you to leave me speechless, as you said," he said in a firm and stern tone."I will leave you speechless, don't worry. This is something I'm very good at, and I won't disappoint you. Trust me, I..." He stopped me before I could finish talking."Has anyone ever told you that you talk too much? If no one's told you, I will be the first one to tell you, you talk too much. I will send you the address, don't be late," he left before I could say anything. Hmmmm, such a strange man. I didn't even say what I wanted to say, but who cares? I need to make sure I impress him. I really need this to work out so that I can get out of that cage as soon as possible.I woke up quite early because I was excited for the auditions. I took a quick shower. Once I was done, I put on a denim shirt and black shorts with black Nike Air Force. I put my hair in a neat bun, picked up my phone, and put it in my clutch. I left the house using the back door. I called a cab and set off to my destination. Once I arrived, I looked at the place, and it was beautiful—all this just for auditions."What are you doing here? You need to get ready," she asked as she grabbed my hand before I could say anything. In no time, I was in a room with different people helping me get ready. When they were done, they helped me put on the wedding dress. It was beautiful. It was an off-shoulder wedding dress. Quick question, is it just me, or does this feel like a real wedding? Never mind."You look beautiful," the red-haired girl complimented me.I smiled and thanked her. Why can't I see that director?"You look beautiful, Anna. I'm sorry your father couldn't make it, so I will walk you down the aisle."I nodded, unable to say anything. My heart was pounding against my chest like it could fall out any time. What's really happening? Am I at the wrong address or what?He walked me down the aisle. I must say they had good taste in choosing a venue. It was an outdoor wedding. Everything was so perfect and expensive. Hmmmmm, I hope I'm not in the wrong place.I stood there, looking at the groom. He was handsome. Did they have to include the Greek God in this? His brown hair was slicked back in a messy way, but it looked good. His blue orbs were staring at me, full of confusion and anger. Wait, wait, so I might actually get a job after this? I won't disappoint him. I need to leave that place. I can't stand being there anymore. The longer I stay there, the higher the chances of me losing my mind. I felt someone squeeze my hand, which brought me out of my thoughts. I found the groom and the priest staring at me."I do," I said as I kept my gaze down."I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."He moved closer and whispered, "We need to talk," and placed a kiss on my lips. I just stood there dumbfounded by what happened. I wasn't supposed to be here for the kiss, but who cares? He kissed me. Get a hold of yourself, Ria. It's just a kiss, nothing else. My subconscious mocked me.When all the wedding procedures were done, he grabbed my hand and took me outside."Who are you?" he demanded."I'm Alexandria. Nice to meet you. And you are?" I said in a polite voice. He opened his mouth to say something, but I cut him off. "I hope I get the part. You won't regret working with me. I'm good when it comes to acting. Oh, shoot, I'm not supposed to be here. I'm supposed to be a runaway bride. So here's the thing: I will leave you here and get changed while you go to the director. I will find you there.""I thought you would never stop talking. Are you out of your mind? This is a wedding. You and I just got married. This is fucking crazy." He ran his hand through his hair and took off his tie.I stumbled back a bit and pinched myself, hoping I was dreaming. And the sad part is, I wasn't dreaming. I really did get married to this sexy Greek God that was standing right in front of me. Wait, I'm married.:"What do you mean we got married?" I asked him, my voice raising a bit."I don't like repeating myself. All I know is that we are in this mess because of you," he glared at me as he clenched his jaw."Look, Mister, I don't know what you are talking about, but all I know is that I came here to audition as a runaway bride, so stop with this nonsense." Oh no, how could I be so stupid and dumb? All those preparations, the guests... I should have known it was a real wedding. How did I get myself in such a mess, and how am I going to get out of this mess?I got married. I came here hoping to find a job, but I got married instead. No, no, this can't be. I turned and ran to the changing room; thankfully, he didn't call me or run after me.I changed back into my clothes and stood there, staring at myself in the mirror. I looked at my hand, and there it was - the one thing and evidence that reminded me what happened a few hours ago. I picked up my clutch and left.I arrived home and went stra
I thought he didn't remember me. Was he pretending? I really can't talk to him now."Talk about what?" I asked him, turning to face him and creating some distance between us."Don't tell me you've already forgotten we got married when you thought you were auditioning," he said, glaring at me with a clenched jaw.I know you, and I'm just trying to avoid this awkward conversation right now. "Oh, I had forgotten about that," I flashed him a nervous smile. He narrowed his eyes at me as he towered over me, "Well, I'm glad you remember. We need to talk," he said in a stern tone."About what?" he looked at me like I was crazy."We should talk about, I don't know, when we are going for our photoshoot," I rolled my eyes. "Okay, okay, I get it. So please don't bother with your sarcastic comments. Can I go now?"He sighed and put his hands in his pockets. "I just told you we need to talk.""We can always talk later, but not today. Please, I have to go to my friends," I told him before I left hi
"Are you crazy? You just can't take me with you to meet your parents!" I yelled as I tried to release my hand from his tight grip."Don't make a scene, okay? Let's leave from here," he said in a casual tone, like it wasn't a big deal. But it was to me. Is he crazy or something?"Or what? Look, I don't care if you are Alexander Romano, but I am not going anywhere with you, and I mean it. So just leave me alone."He let go of my hand and looked at his car. "Are you sure that you are not going anywhere?""I'm sure, Mr. Romano. You know what? I will go back inside," I said firmly, and he nodded. I narrowed my eyes and turned as I made my way back inside. Something is fishy; why didn't he grab my hand or stop me? He just let me go like that. Anyway, I don't care as long as I don't get to meet his parents.Once I got inside, I joined the girls who were busy making plans for tomorrow. Charlotte looked at me with a smirk on her face, "Oh hey, Alexandria, I forgot that you came since you keep
"What am I going to do, and why are my parents here?" My legs were frozen in place. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'll just make up an excuse and leave from here. It should be better that way.I have to leave from here before they see me. Until I heard my sister's voice, my legs seemed to have a mind of their own as they stayed rooted in their place."Alexander, it's so nice to meet you. I can't believe you are right in front of me," she said in her annoying, high-pitched voice. He just gave her a slight nod and didn't say a word to her. Not that I'm jealous, it's far from that, just happy that he didn't give her the attention he wanted."I'm glad you're here, Mr. Williams. You are just in time to meet my son's beautiful wife," Mr. Romano said in a confident voice. I leaned against the wall, trying to figure out what to do. I can't meet my parents; they don't even know that we are married, not that they would care, but I just can't.My dad looked at Charlotte, who had a fake smil
"You are not alone, Mrs. Romano," I'm just saying it again in case you didn't hear me.I wiped my tears and took in a deep breath, turning to face him. "Are you spying on me?"He chuckled and shook his head. "Why in the world would I spy on my wife? That's ridiculous," he said in a casual tone."I don't know, you tell me," I shrugged my shoulders. His eyes landed on my bag, and I knew he was going to ask me about it."I don't mean to meddle in your business, but where are you going to stay, and most importantly, why did they allow you to leave the house late at night? I think it would have been better if they let you leave in the morning."I averted my gaze from him. "It's nothing, and I have a place I'm going to," I said rather confidently."Is that so? Well, I don't mind dropping you wherever it is you are going.""No, I will be fine on my own," I said in a stern tone.He nodded and opened his car door. "Okay, if you say so. Sadly, I have to go. I have to attend this important dinne
"Good night," he placed a kiss on my temple and left the room. I smiled as I watched him leave."Ughh, my head hurts a lot. I'm never getting drunk again," I said as my feet made contact with the floor."I hope you plan on sticking to your words," he said as he walked in, dressed in casual clothes. Isn't he supposed to be at work or something?"What are you doing here?"He chuckled, "Good morning, Alexandria." He handed me a painkiller and a glass of water, "it will help with your headache."I took the painkiller from him and threw it into my mouth as I got the glass from him and drank the water."I need to freshen up," I told him as I stood up and walked into the bathroom before he could reply. Once I was done, I changed my attire and put my hair into a messy bun. I took in a deep breath as I held the doorknob and opened the door."You need to have your breakfast?" he said as he looked up from his phone."I don't feel like eating," but my stomach had to betray me.He raised his eyebr
"Well, nice to meet you, Miss whatever you are, but will you please calm down and stop yelling?" I glanced at Gina, who just shrugged her shoulders. She walked towards me, her green orbs glaring at me, "Who the hell are you?"I maintained my posture. I won't let her intimidate me. "I should be asking you that?""I'm Alexander's fiancée, honey." She showed me her engagement ring. "We are getting married, so you better get the hell out of here before I make you.""His fiancée, you say? Wow, that's interesting." I raised my hand, flashing my wedding ring at her so she could get a proper look at it. I'm so lucky I put it on today, or else. "You see this ring? We got married. He put this ring on me, and it wasn't by force, honey. So get out of my house."She looked at my hand in disbelief, "You are the slut he got married to instead of me!" she yelled, "That is my ring!" she yelled hysterically.I shook my head, "Correction, was your ring, but not anymore. He's my husband now."She harshly
"Thank you for shopping at Crystal boutique, and please do come back next time," I told her with a smile on my face. She returned the smile as she took the shopping and gave it to her bodyguard, "thank you. I will surely come back. I'm Clara, by the way.""I'm Alexandria, nice to meet you."She whispered something to her bodyguard and turned her attention to me, "Well, Alexandria, it was nice meeting you. Sadly, I have to get going. I will see you next time I come here."Today must be my lucky day. It is not every day you get to meet such a kind customer. I'm so tired; I can't wait to get home and take a long, relaxing bath because I need one. My body needs it and a body massage."Heyy, Ria, how was your day?" she yelled as she popped out of wherever she was."Stella," I groaned, "you don't have to be so loud, girl. Geez, are you trying to make me deaf?" I whined as I looked at her green eyes. She giggled and sat on the counter, "Oh, I'm sorry, Ria. I didn't mean to be so loud, but th
