Mira closed the door behind her, the sound echoing sharply across the room. She pulled off her heels then starts pacing around the room.

Stephanie stood quietly near the edge of the room, her arms crossed.

“I need an heir,” Mira hissed under her breath, more to herself than anyone else. “I need one now, and when I say now. I mean today I must do something about it or am I cursed?.”

Stephanie shifted, but said nothing.

Mira turned to her, her eyes wide and burning. “How about I go to the witch and do what’s needed?”

Stephanie’s expression changed instantly. “No. Don’t do that.”

Mira tilted her head, amused by the edge in her beta’s voice. “You’re scared of witches now?”

“I’m scared of you making a deal you can’t undo,” Stephanie said. “You know what happened the last time a Luna went to the witches for fertility. She bled every full moon until her child was born with its eyes black. And that was a safe deal? Hell no.”

SELENEI and Leila went back to our rooms, I didn’t go back to my room. I opened Zarek’s door, he wasn’t there even after I waited like twenty minutes in Leila’s room, he still hasn’t come back.I walked to the window side to see the view he was always obsessed with then I heard the sound of the door opening. It was Zarek.“You are back.” I said, my voice was loud and firm, my hands folded to my chest as I turned my gaze to him.He smirked and locked the door. “I knew you wouldn’t sleep yet, and yes I am back.” He said pulling off his shirt, I didn’t close my eyes nor turn my back to him. I opened my eyes clearly to see his broad chest and the wolf tattoo on his chest.“What happened? Care to explain?” I asked, my voice low and soft.“Evelyn tried to drug me to sleep with her.” He said, walking to the bathroom to shower, I followed him because I was shocked with what he said and I needed to hear more.“What?” I said, my voice low.He froze, he was already naked. “You want to join me?”

DARKVALE PACKSELENEBrielle woke me up for dinner. “Dinner is ready, Luna,” she said quietly.I stretched and sat up. “Thanks, Brielle.”She nodded. “Alpha’s not back yet.”“Where’s Evelyn?” I asked, already putting my feet into slippers.“Her quarters,” Brielle said, then paused. “She asked me not to bother her.”I didn’t ask her more questions. I just nodded and walked downstairs with her then I saw Leila at the edge of the staircase. She smiled at me. “Good morning.”I smiled and cuffed my hair to my ear. “Morning Leila.”We both walked down to the dining table, I dragged the chair backward then I sat down gently.Leila and I were halfway through with the food when Zarek finally arrived. He had two bouquets in his hands, they were bright and fresh flowers. Leila looked at them and raised an eyebrow. “Who’s that for? When did you start this romance thing?”Zarek handed one to me without a word. Then, turning to Leila, he said, “This second one is for Evelyn.”I sighed, rolling my

SILVERMIST PACKEver since Selene left the pack, the pack has changed. Mira would always exile any warriors or maids who wouldn’t do their job. She leads with arrogance and Lucien wouldn’t say or do anything about it.“Where is Lucien?” Mira asked one of the maids standing in the hallway but none of them could answer her because they didn't know where he was.Mira slapped one of the maids standing beside her. “Yeah that’s what you get for not answering my question. So none of you know where he went to?”The maid fell on the floor and she started crying. “Luna you asked us not to interfere with anything, you said our only duty is to take care of the house.”Mira frowned. “So? That was why you kept mute?” “Luna.” A voice broke out from behind, Mira turned her gaze back and it was Mira’s beta Stephanie.“What is it?” Mira shouted.Stephanie’s breath was high and fast. “The elders called for a meeting and I am not sure if it was a friendly one.”Mira scoffed. “I knew this day would come.

The drive to the StormWeil pack was long and quiet. Just the sound of the ground under the tires. The sky looked weird, kinda purple like it was about to rain. The wind was cold. Zarek placed one hand on the wheel, tapping his fingers. Not because he was nervous, he just did that sometimes. He wasn’t the nervous type anyway. Not usually. The forest around him blurred past. He hadn’t been here in months, not since Orion’s Luna passed away during labour. He didn’t come then, and didn't know how to sympathize with people. Because some griefs weren’t meant to be interrupted. He parked in front of the mansion, and he stepped in, the warriors didn’t stop him like they had been waiting for him.And there he was.Orion stood in front of his mansion at the entrance, his arms crossed, like he had been expecting Zarek. His boots were solid in the dirt. His hair was shorter now, pulled back, and his beard had filled out more. But that grin? It was still the same.“Look who finally decided to show

They all arrived at the pack and Zarek was standing at the parking lot because he wanted to drive out not until he saw Luca’s car he had to wait.Mara and Nina stepped down from the car and then they walked slowly towards Zarek. They both knew he would ask them questions but they were prepared.“Nina…” Zarek called, his voice deep and husky, his gaze on the both of them.“Alpha.” Nina greeted, acting like she didn't know why Zarek called her name.“Where did you two go this morning? I asked the maid to check on you but you were missing. Where is Evelyn?” Zarek asked.Nina and Mara glared at each other. “We left together this morning and she asked us to step down from her car. She is probably at the ca—.” Nina said but then the sound of Evelyn’s car stopped them. They planned on telling Zarek the whole truth because Evelyn made them get down from her car.Evelyn stepped down from her car, she brought out a box from the back seat and then gave Zarek a warm smile.“Where have you been Ev

Nina slid into the front seat and then put on her seat belt, she didn’t wait for Evelyn to sit well.“Don’t tell me you are going to hurt Selene?” Nina asked, her voice low.Evelyn didn’t smile, she glanced back at the cave where they were coming from.“I don’t want Selene, I am going to make her life a living hell if I can’t kill her.” Evelyn said, her voice filled with anger.Mara who was sitting at the back stared at Evelyn, she didn’t say anything but a lot was going through her mind. Then Evelyn drove off, her speed was high this time.“Hey, relax, don’t get us all killed,” Mara said, her voice loud over the sound of the tires against the asphalt.Evelyn didn’t respond at first, she looked really pissed off. Her eyes were locked on the road ahead, but her mind was still back at the cave, my mind was replaying everything Ardella and her daughter told her.“I’m not relaxing until I wipe that smug look off her face,” Evelyn muttered.Mara rolled her eyes and leaned forward from the

It was still early. The sky outside hadn’t fully lightened, painted in the soft gray haze that clung to the edges of dawn. The world was quiet, quiet for someone like Zarek. By seven thirty in the morning, he was up, dressed in his black shirt, the sleeves of his black shirt were rolled up, and he was already in his office, checking through the reports. Leila knocked the door and before Zarek could tell her to come in, she had opened the door.Leila peeked her head in to check if he was there. “You’re up early,” she said with a wide smile, stepping inside the office.“I couldn’t sleep, so I had to stand up early and finish something ,” Zarek said, his voice deep and husky, not looking up at her.Leila walked around to him, she glanced through the documents and then she went back to the couch, her legs crossed. “Do you need help with anything? I am less busy right now.”Zarek glanced at her, and then he smirked. “Are you offering to help me willingly? That’s new.”She rolled her eyes

SELENE“I hope you don’t mind me sitting here at the back with the Alpha, you can go sit with the driver.” Elora said, smiling as she shifted comfortably at the back seat.I nodded and then pointed at the front seat. “You want me to sit at the front while you sit here with Zarek?” I asked, knowing her reply but just teasing her.She nodded happily. “Yes please. Thank you for understanding.” “Of course.” I said and then made my way to the second car waiting for Leila.Leila finally walked out with a smile on her face, probably her father wants her to stay behind but she instead of going with Zarek. “Where is Luna Selene?” Leila’s voice broke out very loud.I waved my hand at the back of the seat. “Here, I am right here.” I said and then she rushed over, she slid into the car and then the driver drove off.“Why didn’t you sit with Zarek?” She asked, her voice barely above a whisper.“Elora occupied my space, she told me to sit at the front but I couldn’t.” I said, my voice barely abov
