Dominic

I watched Kimberly’s melodrama unfold in the courtroom. Well, I should have expected it, knowing her nature.

My trusted lawyer, Stuart Fitzgerald, grilled her from every angle, leaving no scope for her to lash back. “Ms. Forester, are you trying to mislead the court by implying you had been forced out of your home ten years ago? The proof I have with me states you had an affair with Riley McCartney and walked out willingly, leaving your two-year-old son, Diego behind. Am I right?”

Kimberly wiped her fake tears and addressed the jury instead. “No, I mean. I made a mistake, and I apologized for almost a decade. Now that I’ve found happiness with someone else, I want my son back. Is that too much to ask for?”

But Stuart attacked her instead while I watched helplessly. I just wish this would wrap up soon so I could go back to Diego. “Yes, it is since you had no connection with your child for ten years. Ms. Forester, how can you expect the court to grant you full custody of a child

Dominic“Diego? Where’s Diego?” I frantically asked the nurse looking after Diego in the pediatric HDU. I had arrived here straight from the court only to find Diego missing. Strangely, no one was here – not even Mom.“Oh, he has been shifted to his room, Mr. Sylvester.”I frowned at her. Did I hear her correctly? How could they shift him without my permission? “How? Has he recovered from the coma?”She beamed at me. “Yes, Mr. Sylvester. Isn’t it a miracle? Why don’t you meet him in his room? I think if all goes well, Dr. Jenkins will discharge him tomorrow.”Discharge him? I couldn’t believe my ears.“Thank you. I’ll see him.” I walked towards Diego’s room in a dazed state. It was a miracle indeed that he had recovered. I was on the verge of giving up hope. As I opened the door, my eyes went straight towards Diego, sitting with Mom and playing on her phone.A gasp of surprise escaped my lips. I hadn’t expected him to heal so fast. “Diego?” I whispered in disbelief, tears pricking at

Dominic “Your son hasn’t woken up yet, Mr. Sylvester. He has suffered acute mental trauma. This has led to a rise in complex post-traumatic stress disorder in him. Once he wakes up, we can check the harm caused.” The doctor kept updating me on the condition Diego was facing. I felt lost. How could I help my boy? How could I ease the PTSD symptoms? I wanted the cheerful boy I had raised. “How long will the treatment take, Doctor? Can we shift the child to another hospital?” Lucien took over while my head reeled. “I wouldn’t suggest it. The child might slip into a coma. We have a team of skilled doctors treating him at the moment.” I lost my patience with him. “Why can’t we see the results then? Why hasn’t my child gained consciousness yet?” The doctor gave me an uncomfortable look. “He is conscious, Mr. Sylvester. All the time he was awake, he was having seizures, remembering his mother. Can you explain that? We’re trying our best to heal him.” I froze, realizing the harm Julia’s

Dominic “Please give us time to investigate. I would suggest that you go home. If there’s a lead, we’ll call you.” The officer-in-charge of the investigation gave me a flustered look. But how could I keep myself sane? It had been two hours since Julia had disappeared with my son. No one knew where she had taken him. I had searched the church premises, the entire vicinity, our condominium and also the route between the church and our home. Yet there were no signs of my family. With Drake’s reception party going on in full swing, I couldn’t involve anyone except Lucien. Despite our combined efforts, we were still at square one. The cops had been investigating for almost an hour and had yet to produce results. With Brynne having Julia’s handbag and phone, calling her wasn’t an option. How else would I track her? How could my wife and son disappear in broad daylight with no one witnessing the mishap? Even Freddie had disappeared with my car! Despite calling him repeatedly, I couldn’t c

Julietta / Julia With three of them guarding Diego, I had no idea how to rescue him. Miguel alone was enough to overpower me. Memories of their torture disrupted my plans, making me cower with fear. One look at him was enough to make me want to hide. “Where the hell is Julietta? How did the plan fail, Perez?” yelled Miguel, shoving his man aside roughly. I was right all along. Miguel had staged this to lure me into his trap. But how did he find me? Did Daniel give me away? How did he know Diego was my son? Everything was a gigantic puzzle I had no clue about. “She was following us, boss. I’ll go out and check.” “No need. Ramona has gone to check.” My heart sank at the mention of my evil stepmother. So she was here too. In a matter of minutes, they would discover my presence here and capture me. I had to act now. But how would I overpower all three of them together? At that moment, my eyes fell on Diego. He had seen me outside the door, through the tiny crack! I could see the r

Julietta / Julia“Freddie, follow that car. They’ve taken Diego...” I jumped into Dominic’s car, my eyes glued to the blue Nissan speeding ahead. I had just emerged from the washroom after the wedding ceremony when I saw Diego walk out with a stranger. What would I have done if I hadn’t seen the stranger shove Diego into the car and speed away? There was no time to call anyone. Freddie chased the car through the dense New York traffic. “Why have they taken Diego? Are they Kimberly ma’am’s men?” Freddie was as clueless as I was. He had witnessed the kidnapping, so I didn’t need to explain the situation to him. As Diego’s dedicated chauffeur, he knew everything about the family. “I don’t know. Don’t let them get away.” I looked for my phone, but my handbag was with Brynne with the phone inside. I had given it to her before heading to the washroom in my bulky bridesmaid gown. “Shit, I left my phone with Brynne.”Freddie looked stressed. “I could give you mine, but I need to recharge
