Chapter 28
“Lia, get up,”
I heard a slightly excited voice close to my ear, but I couldn’t even tell where it was coming from. However, my best guess would be that the voice belonged to Anya.
‘What?’ I grumble wordlessly as I try to turn over on the bed so I could face up, but I was utterly exhausted even to perfect the attempt. Instead, I just stayed put with my body lying sideways. When I realized I hadn’t received a response from Anya since I supposed it was her telling me to wake up, I spoke, this time without the use of the link, “What?”
“It’s me, Lia. Get up,”
Now I was getting confused as to where the sound was coming from. Was it from my head or not? “Anya?” I say out loud, still trying to get a hang of myself.
“Nope, it’s me, Monica,”
