"Ell!" I almost panicked as I noticed her hand, which was gripping mine, losing its strength.

Tears streamed profusely from my eyes, causing my vision to blur. She coughed up blood.

"Xandria! Please, help Marciella! Please?" My tone was filled with pleading.

I didn't want to see her in this condition because it felt like I was slowly losing my own life. The pain she was experiencing, I felt it too.

If only I had decided to follow them early on. If only I had prioritized my love for her over my responsibilities in the GC. Perhaps... Perhaps she wouldn't have been hurt like this, maybe I could have protected her.
