Then he bites his lower lip and withdraws. The farther he gets away from me, the more I yearn for his touch. What is he doing?

“I think I should get you home, it’s late,” Zayn lays his back on the wall again and avoids looking at me. His face is flushed and I’m sure mine is too. He also takes his hand away from my grasp and plays with his fingers.

“Yeah, okay,” I say softly in return as I stand to my feet. I can’t stop thinking of the moment we just had. It was so perfect but then he pulled away. “Is something wrong?” I voice my concerns, and he looks at me as he stands to his feet.

“No, everything’s fine,” He tries to lie but it’s pretty clear that he is not telling the truth. “Shall we?” He begins to lead the way but I don’t follow him.

I need to know what’s wrong. I’m a chronic overthinker, if I don’t get an answer now, my mind would torture me by coming up with its own answers.
