Lunch And Feelings

I stare at Ashton, still trying to process what he just said to me. He looks anxious as he waits for a reply from me. I put down the glass of sparkling water and clear my throat.

“Our love?” I question him. “Are you being serious right now, Ashton?”

“This is the most serious I have ever been in my life,” He reaches for my hand from across the table but I flinch away. He does not get to do this, it isn’t fair.
