CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Waking up with August by my side was an affair I looked up to every morning. Marriage was a wonderful thing once the partners started to see the arrangement outside a prison. It was an adventure where choices and attitude determined the outcome.
August kissed my forehead as I moaned softly, my eyes slowly opened to the blinding light before staring at the smiling face of the man I was married to.
“Good morning my love.” August greeted as I slowly rose.
I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his lips before we stared into each other’s eyes.
“Good morning sunshine.” I replied before he kissed my neck and tickled me as I giggled.
“August stop tickling me, I’m awake.” I laughed and caught his hands before he pouted.
“Aww, you’re no fun.”

The war against Leone was grave. Arthur barely had time to rest and I had to do my best to support him. Our joy had been we immediately reacted to the attack so that they wouldn’t conquer the outer walls as they were three walls that Westoros is made of.The ring which is where the royals and nobles stay, the middle wall was usually those in the middle class who had a little influence or authority in the system and the outer walls where the lower breed stays.Westoros is a large country blessed in economics and agriculture so food wouldn’t be too hard to replace so far as they haven’t reached for the middle walls so that was our top priority to protect.The issue with Arthur’s case was hopefully going to be dismissed by the end of the day and since Alfred knows I am much of a threat to him and his supporters, he will possibly look for anything to rid of me.

Everyone was putting in a lot of strength with the war at hand.With what had happened with Alfred, everyone was now cautious around each other and since I broke down in tears, August didn’t have me involved in court issues.I was forced to rest until I felt better and August did everything to make me happy because he felt that I was depressed and upset.I sighed as I closed the book before I stood up and opened the doors to the balcony.The sight of people running, whispers here and there, insecurity everywhere had me a little restless before I decided to take my presence to the palace royal garden.I bit down on some biscuits as I read a classic in the only place that had my mind at peace.The sound of footsteps heading towards me, interrupted as I looked up and dropped the sweets.&ld

“What is your favorite color my love?” August asked me as I hummed in thought.“I don’t know, white?” I responded with uncertainty as August laughed.“For someone intelligent, you are awfully pessimistic.” August said as I lowered my head.He laid his head on my thigh before I arched a brow and closed the book I was reading.“Are you implying your optimistic?” I asked as he chuckled.“Very; that is why they say opposite attracts.”“More like dumb needs smart.” I joked as August pouted.“All work without play makes jack a dull boy.”“Fun without limits leaves you a happy smile and broken bones.”

I ate my breakfast quietly as I went through the statistics of the war at hand and made some notes on how things would be handled.It’s been two months since I woke up and conclusions were I and August were attacked by a spy from Leone and I was grateful Arthur didn’t have anyone questioning me.I was deep into my work when nauseous sudden hit me.I covered my mouth as the feeling went back before it built up again with more strength but didn’t escape my lips. I stood in front of a mirror as I stared at the pink wedding gown on my body.Today was my wedding day.My hand went to my stomach that had swelled a little for people to notice but not enough that it ruined the gown.The knight and the church had forced the court council to allow Arthur and myself to wed despite knowing that I was pregnant.They all believed that the child was August’s son and in order to protect their interest as well as the faith of the citizens, Arthur and I were to wed before our coronation and my conception date.I had more than enough time for my conception date but to win this war, power will be handed to Arthur and shortly after Arthur is going to join the field.Father was furious when he found out what I had done as my hand went to my face he had struck.
