Chapter 8: "Nurse Ice"

2021-08-09 14:05:28It’s night time again but still, Ice can’t sleep. She felt guilty about what happened to Troy and to his friends. She knows where the Forest of Doom is... But she wasn’t aware enough to notice her surroundings.
Audrey is already fast asleep. Ice fed her early and made her sleep early.
She blamed herself for what happened to her, thinking that she’s not in the right headspace. No wonder why her parents are not proud of her.
She quickly made a plan to leave Audrey at the palace and go to visit Troy in his place. Maybe serving him would pay his kind and brave actions towards them.
“Oh…”, she yawned. She slowly calmed down and her eyelids started to feel heavy as if there were stones glued there.
The night was quiet as usual and only the tiny chatters of the fireflies and the flowing wind.
She slowly closed her eyes and fell to sleep.

Kevin closed the door to Trixie's bedroom and ran immediately to the front of the palace and sat there. He practiced his magic there with some fairy holograms that he summoned effortlessly with his own powers. He quickly fired a spell on one of them, each one being harmless to avoid accidents. They all fled immediately and rushed at him. He then used his sword to fight them and together with his spells. He stumbled to fight back and also avoided the spell he was throwing.
