Chapter 3

Logan had been ensconced in his office for most of the morning, concentrating hard on the paperwork before him, finally deciding to take a break, he threw down his pen, standing up and stretching his cramped muscles.

He had forgotten the downside of sitting behind a desk, for long periods.

"Molly, have you ordered some lunch?" He mind linked his PA, the benefits of being a werewolf, not requiring gadgets to communicate with members of his pack.

"Already have, would you like it now?" Molly replied instantly.

"Please..." He responded, shutting the link, making his way back to his desk and sitting down, waiting for her to bring in his lunch.

A knock on the door, alerted him of her presence, "Come in..." He commanded, watching as the door slowly opened, seeing Molly enter with a tray of food, a smile forming on his face, realizing in that moment he was really hungry and that Molly knew him so well, his mouth salivating at the food she had prepared for him.

Only for him to freeze in shock, when he noticed the form following behind Molly, barely registering the words Molly was speaking to him.

His hands clenching into tight fists, as he tried to control his wolf, his nostrils flaring, inhaling the intoxicating scent, as it wafted towards him, unable to believe with his own eyes, that the beauty that shyly walked in, behind Molly, was his mate.

Molly smirked internally, having noticed Logan's reaction in seeing Katie, she finally understood her connection to the young woman, this was her future Luna, hopefully Logan won't mess things up, she could not wait to tell her dear friend.

"Sir, if it's not an inconvenience, I thought now would be a good time, for you to meet my assistant." Molly spoke, amusement in her voice, noticing as Logan barely took note of her or how Katie blushed at the intense look, Logan was giving her.

"Snap out of it, Alpha!" Molly mind linked, a firm tone to her voice, "Remember she is human!"

Logan blinked, having finally registered Molly's words, "She is my mate..." Was the only thing he could mutter out in the mind link.

"I kind of figured that out, by your reaction." She replied in the mind link, "But you have to take things slow, she doesn't know of our kind."

Huffing internally, a slight flush forming, he took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves, giving Molly a subtle nod that he was ready, even though his whole body shook with excitement.

Again, taking a glance at his mate, the fates knew what he liked, her small stature, her pouty lips, her dark black hair tied into a tight bun, her blue eyes or her curvaceous body, filling in all the right places, he loved the fact that she wasn't model thin.

He couldn't wait to touch her, just the image of her naked beneath him, had him growling lowly, his member hardening, glad that he was sitting behind the desk, otherwise his mate's first impression of him, would be rather embarrassing.

"This is Katie, the assistant that started today." Molly spoke loudly, having finally given up on trying to get her Alpha's attention, huffing slightly in frustration, moving forward and placing the tray on his desk.

"I suggest, while you have lunch, that you get to know her better, after all...I am hoping she will be around for a long time." Turning towards Katie and gently telling her to take a seat, then leaving the two, a smile on her face, as she left the office.

Logan smirked, having caught on to Molly's not so subtle hint, "Thank you Molly, I think that would be an excellent idea." He responded to her retreating back, his body relaxing slightly, as he watched his mate taking a seat before him, noting her graceful movements and the becoming blush on her face.
