Teddy watched the doctor skeptically. It seemed to him that the doctor was muttering something under his breath as he walked the length and breadth of the room twice before stopping at the foot of the bed. Teddy narrowed his eyes. He was curious to see what Anthony was doing.

Anthony raised his dark eyes to Teddy’s face and in that moment the other man felt a chill go down his spine. There was something different about Anthony. Something terrifying, something insane and mysterious. Perhaps it was the look in his eyes, the tiny pinprick pupils, or the fact that his skin was paler than normal. Whatever it was, it terrified Teddy greatly.

“Have you ever tried taming the beast?” Anthony asked. Even his voice was different now. It was deeper and as cold as death.
