Chapter 3

“Adriana, you are being too crazy. What the hell happened? Why are you suddenly leaving?” Jesse screams at me while I stuff my clothes into a duffle bag.

After I ran away again I finally got to the road, and mixed with the crowd. They lost me, but I still had to wander about for some time so they didn't follow me home.

I finally got home around five in the morning where I met Jesse waiting for me.

And we have been arguing since I told her I had to leave.

“What the hell happened in the club? One minute I went to ease myself the next I came out, and you are gone.

I have been worried sick about you, and you get home only to say you are moving to another city. Like what the hell?” she yells, dragging the cloth I am currently folding away from my hand.

She grabs the duffle bag, and throws it to the other side of the room, causing it to smack against the wall.

“What the hell is wrong with you, bloody wanker!” I shout, glaring at her so hard it takes a lot not to smack her in the face.

She hasn't done anything wrong I know, but I am in a state of panic. All I want to do is run far away from them.

He is going to come, and kill them unless I leave.

“Adriana please, just tell me what is going on. What happened at the club?” she presses, her voice so quiet it's almost impossible to believe it's her talking.

I slump down all the fight draining from my system. She deserves to know.

“I met my mates last night.” I drop the bomb, fiddling with my fingers.

She leaps off the bed, squealing like a little rabbit until she notices my reaction.

Slowly her hands drop down as her smile falters, she shuffles closer, “I have a feeling it's not something to rejoice about.”

“No.” my voice croaks as tears threaten to spill out of my eyes.

“Oh my dear.” she moans wrapping her arms around me, releasing the flood gate of tears.

A painful cry echoes through the air before I realise it's coming from me.

My heart is heavy as I sob hard in her chest.

Why me? Why does life have to be cruel to me all the damn time?

From the moment he claimed me I never thought I would find my mate or in my case mates.

I never thought I would have to face such tragedies, not just any mate, but the Alpha's of the Moon Stone pack.

The most strongest, ruthless Alpha's in the whole of America. .

I have heard so much evil about them, how they like to hunt their victims. How they kill without blinking.

Could it be that I would be safe with them? Or am I just going from one evil to another?

I really don't want to find out. I just want to leave, and be alone.

“Who is your mate?” Jesse finally asks, slowly prying my head away from her chest as my cries die down.

“Alpha Tyler, and Ryler Chase. The Alpha's of our pack.” I spit out the words.

It feels so much more real, the dangers of me sitting here slams harder into my skull.

My ass flies off the bed as I jump back to packing. Stuffing everything I find useful into the bag.

“So why are you running Exactly? They won't hurt you.” she says, moving to the edge of the bed so I can pack in peace.

“It's not them I am scared of, it's him. He will hurt them if I stay with them. Look I can't really explain, but please just trust me, it's for the best.” I plead with her, looking into her eyes.

She sighs a sign that I have her support even though she doesn't understand.

“What about me?” she whispers, peaking at me through her lashes.

“We can always visit each other. I just need to be away from them.” I suggest.

She finally agrees, and helps me pack. When I am done, I fling the duffle bag over my shoulder as I head out the house.

I stop in the living room, staring at the kitchen that I have come to love.

How fast someone's life can change. I have no plan in mind but I have to keep them safe.

Taking one last breath I cross the living room, and yank open the door.

A gasp leaves my lips as the duffle bag slips through my fingers falling with a heavy thud to the floor.

“Were you trying to run from us, little one?” one of them says, his voice so deep it goes straight to my heart.

My wolf perks up her ears and wags her tail in excitement.

No. How are they here?

It's broad daylight now so I can take a good look at them. I haven't seen them before, just heard stories so I can't say who is who.

The one who smells like cinnamon has piercing blue eyes with brunette hair that falls down to his shoulders, his face is blank as no expression passes through.

The other smells like wood mixed with whiskey, his eyes are dark green, his hair also brunette but shorter than the other.

They are so tall that I have to crane my neck to look at them, their muscles ripping through the shirt they are putting on.

“Cat got your tongue, little mouse.” the one with blue eyes growls, his voice so hard that I shrink back in fear.

“You are ours, why are you runnin-”

“I don't want a mate, just let me go.” I cut him off.

“Not in your life, little one.” the one with green eyes smirks, an evil glint in his stare.

Left with no choice, I do the only thing I know will keep them away.

“I, Adriana Butterton, rejec-” the words barely left my lips before they attacked.

Like a beast hunting a prey, blue eyes grips my throat cutting off any sounds from producing before digging his fangs into her neck.

Green eyes follow suit sinking his fangs into the other side of my neck.

My eyes widen in shock as my brain registers their actions “No, let go!!!” I scream, thrashing my feet beneath them.

They just signed their death.

Thick red liquid trickles down my forehead as a heavy sting gnaws at my side. “What the heck?” Tyler groans, reaching for his forehead. My sight blurs as everything seems upside down. “Who the heck just did that? The bastard came out of nowhere.” Ryler grits about, jabbing his elbow at the seat. The seat belt holding me cuts loose sending my body crashing forward. My nose flare as the stench of fuel mixed with metal fills my lungs. Hell. “Come on.” Tyler growls, sending his feet into the glass causing it to shatter to pieces. His growls turns more ferocious as he pushes his body forward, diving out of the car regardless of the shards sticking into his body. Ryler on the other hand has a smirk pasted on his lips, a mild groan leaving his lips. He sways out of the car with a sadistic smile curving up on his lips. Barely knowing them I can tell Ryler is more dangerous than Tyler. All smiling, but deadly. My neck throbs from where they marked me, the sting sharp as a painful gr

Chapter 1“Adriana.” That solemn whisper whips through my ears again. My hand freezes on the door of the diner as all the hair on my skin stands to attention. Chills run down my spine as that familiar feeling balls up my throat. Fear. My eyes darted around, searching for any way to find him, but it's fruitless. He is always around, but never enough for me to see him, just enough to let me know that I belong to him, or so he says. “Will you open the darn door?” Jess sneers, tugging at my ponytail that I packed this morning in a hurry. Just focus; you are safe. He won't hurt me. I repeat the mantra to myself before I finally yank the door open, walking into the diner like I own the place. Because I technically do. I mean, working here for three years is no small feat. Lots of employees have quit because of Nana’s overbearing attitude. She used to be the one in the kitchen, cooking all the dishes until she got old and had to employ people. Now those people suffer a lot with N
