Personality

Fear gripped me as different thoughts of what he could do to me spiraled in my mind. I was speechless, and although I tried hard to say something. His stare wiped away all thoughts of speech, and he looked really irritated with me.

“Are you in your right senses?” He asked in a low, dangerous tone.

“I'm… I'm… I'm so sorry, Young master!” I apologized with my head bowed down low.

“You must really be out of your senses… Is this who father employed? Someone as dumb as you? I asked for tea, is that so hard? And you give me a shattered mug you cannot afford to buy!” He shouted and I could feel the tears coming.

Why had I been so clumsy? It was true I couldn't buy the mug, so why had I been so clumsy. His anger was never meant for me in the first place, but my nervousness had directed it all to me.

“I'm sorry, young master. I'm so sorry, young master.. I'm deeply sorry sir” I kept on apologizing.

“You better be because if you want to serve me, you should learn how to use your brain!”

“Adam… It's enough” Someone said, and I turned to see the brother who shared a striking resemblance to Young Master Adam approaching us.

“Can't you see the mess she made here?” Young Master Adam said, pointing to the mess on the floor.

“I can see it clearly, but it doesn't warrant all this, you know pretty well, we own about a hundred more of this, so what does it matter if just one is broken? You don't have to shout at her that way, nor do you have to direct your anger at her, it's not cool, she just started working here” Young Master Theo said as he came to stand next to me.

“And what about the splashed tea? “ Young Master Adam asked as he stared at Young Master Theo.

“Does it hurt that much?” Young Master Theo asked and there was a terrible silence as they stared at each other and all of a sudden, Young Master Adam hit his fist on the couch on which he sat, and he stood and left, hitting my shoulder with his body and sending me back a few feet.

It wasn't until he had left that I finally found my breath and gave a silent sigh of relief.

“Are you okay?” Young Master Theo asked me as he bent a little to see my face.

I looked up at him and he gave a warm smile. I found his brown eyes strangely settling, and I felt more relieved.

“I'm fine Young Master, thank you for helping me out. “

“Its nothing, I apologize for Adam's behavior, sometimes he can be like that, he gets cranky a lot.”

“I'll keep that in mind, Young Master Theo”

“So what's the name?” He asked and I looked up at him and I couldn't explain why I was blushing.

“It's Tihana, Tihana Dawn”

“Hmm Tihana" He said slowly, just as Young Master Nash had done. “I'm Theo” He said, extending his hand to me. I shook it and as his large hand wrapped around mine, I felt my face grow hot.

“I'll… Please excuse the mess, I'll pick it up now” I said and bent hurriedly to pick up the shards. It wasn't up to three seconds when I felt a sharp pain in my finger.

“Ah…" I exclaimed softly and held my finger to my face. Blood trickled down fast from it. Just as I expected, it wasn't a big shard, but one of those wicked little shards that were barely seen. All of a sudden, Young Master Theo bent and held my hand.

“Have you taken it out?” He asked and I shook my head. I needed to take out the shard, so it could heal, and i and Young Master Theo spent up to two minutes trying to take out the little shard that had lodged itself in my finger and refused to be taken out.

Finally, it was out and we watched as my skin healed up.

I sighed and he smiled.

“Such a little thing gave you so much worry?” He asked, and it was hard to look up at him because he was so close to me.

“N. No.. It….”

“I'll pick the shards up” He said and started to pick up the shards faster than I could have ever done. I stood and when he was done, I followed him to where he disposed of it.

“Wanna go for a walk?” He asked. “You don't want to be around when Adam is mad”

“But…" I started to say because I didn't want more reprimanding when someone needed me and I wasn't around.

“No one is going to argue when they hear I took you out, " He assured me as though he read my mind.

I nodded and took off my apron and hung it in the kitchen, then followed him out.

It was a cool evening breeze that ruffled our shirts and hair and made me feel peace.

“Adam isn't all that bad, it's just when he's mad. He gets really cranky when things don't go his way, so you just have to avoid him when he's that way and if he's unavoidable, you have to be calm and don't tremble so as not to make the mistake, you made this night.” He said as he placed his hands in his pockets as he walked.

I nodded and asked.

“Is there anything else I need to know? About the other Young Masters?”

“Hmm, not much, well, Nash takes little things important and can act childish over them. I'll advise you to be meticulous whenever you're tidying up his room, nothing must fall or break, handle everything you see like an egg because he can get really mad when his little treasures aren't taken seriously. Chris is intellectual and takes the book serious, but he is lively and loves to have fun. I don't think you'll have many problems with him.”

I thought about the plates Young Master Nash insisted were only for his use, and wondered if it were one of the little things he considered significant.

Then all of a sudden, a deep and loud howl broke through the air, and the sound was so frightening that I stopped in my tracks. It came again and it sounded absolutely wicked.
