Chapter 12: "Why Would She Cheat?"

Alex Quinn had caught a cold.

Having nearly slept naked on the floor for most of the night, it was no surprise he had fallen ill.

Luna Cruz had instructed him to clean up before sleeping, but overwhelmed with pleasure, he lacked the strength to even crawl to the bathroom, instead falling directly into unconsciousness.

How embarrassing.

"Just a few months, Alex, and you've already caught a cold? You really need to take better care of yourself."

Kevin Smith expressed just the right amount of concern for his old friend Alex, maintaining a suitable level of friendship.

Alex, feeling groggy, would usually brush off Kevin's teasing, but the memory of Luna laughing next to Danny in the passenger seat still haunted him. Subconsciously comparing his sickly self to his vibrant cousin, his expression grew darker.

"Boss Quinn, if you're feeling bad, don't push yourself."

Alex pushed away Kevin's hovering hand irritably and said,

"I'm not dying yet."

The next second, he returned to his
