I walked out of my room with anger pulsating through my veins. Her words echoed in my brain, even in my sleep I could hear them.

Nothing could get it off my mind… She was ready to die rather than have a child for me… My mate was ready to kill our pup!

Dante was howling in pain and agony. He had been restless and nothing could calm him down.

Nobody had ever rejected me! Thousands! Hell, millions of females would kill just to carry my baby but my mate, the one whom I’m supposed to have a bond with, was ready to go extra miles just to kill my child.

“Get out of my way!” I barked at a maid and she scurried out in fear, screaming.

“Breakfast!” I barked at Ella who exhaled deeply.

“Just a few more minutes Alpha, I’m so sorry for the delay…” She apologized and I scowled.

Ten minutes later, my food was served and staring at the steaming meal, I felt rage making rounds in my body.

I dug into my food, it tasted bland! It wasn’t good enough, maybe because it wasn’t blood because I was a monster after all!

She was standing there, looking innocent like she wasn’t the reason I was slowly losing my mind, like she hadn’t made up her evil mind to kill an innocent pup!

“Who made this meal!”

“It… It was Nora… Alpha.” Ella answered immediately and I scoffed.

“It tastes horrible, because the key ingredient is missing.” I taunted, staring at her dead in the eye and she averted her gaze with a sigh.

“Wh… What, Alpha…”

“Blood.” She winced and swallowed. Ella was confused but Nora’s reaction was all I needed. I pushed myself up.

“Trash the food, it tastes as horrid and disgusting as its maker.” I replied, staring at her intently and I saw a flash of pain in her eyes.

Her eyes watered but not a single tear dropped, she didn’t look away now, she was somewhat challenging me to do my worst.

I walked away in anger, heating to the training grounds. “She’s nothing but a vile person! It’s all your fault, Dante… If you had let me kill her when I had the chance, then all these wouldn’t be happening…” I cursed under my breath.

I grabbed a sword and beckoned for the guards training to attack first. I fought with three guards at a time, they attacked from every angle and I defended, defeating them within moments.

I wasn’t stopping, defeat wasn’t just enough, they needed to be killed… Nora should’ve been killed right from time, it was all my fault… I was going to slay them and make sure they never end up like Nora…

“Alpha!” Seyric yelled as he entered the field with anger sword which he used to hold mine, we locked gaze and I gritted my teeth, I was about to slay them, he had interrupted me!

“Alpha! What is wrong!” He yelled, using all his strength to push back.

I finally got a hold of my senses and I glanced around, a frown making its way to my face where I saw the three guards who were injured on the ground while Seyric was panting heavily as he stared at me with shock.

“Alpha…” I walked away in anger and he followed me, yelling out for me to wait.

I walked into my office and he followed in less than a minute. “Alpha… What is the problem? Are you okay, alpha?” He pleaded and I exhaled deeply.

“She wants to kill my pup!” I crushed my fingers together.

“What are you talking about? What pup?”

“Nora is carrying my pup and she wants to kill it! She doesn’t want another monster.” I quoted his words and he gasped.

“But… But… How?”

“She’s the stripper.” His eyes almost popped out of their sockets.

“But… I thought you never wanted to have a mate or pup… Aren’t you supposed to be happy?” He demanded and I growled, slamming my fists on the table.

“I’m so sorry, Alpha…”

“Get me a drink, now!” I ordered and he nodded sadly. He returned minutes later with a bottle of vodka, just what I needed to drown thoughts of that damned omega out of my mind.

Maybe when my head becomes clear then I’d realize that she’s not relevant! Maybe it was high time I sent her away… If freedom is what she wanted, I’d give it to her and when everything comes tumbling she’d join Cassie in the grave, maybe it was best not to protect her.

“I’m sorry, Alpha… Is there anything you’d like me to do?”

“Yes, tell me why she wants to kill the pup? Weren’t female wolves the most attached to pups?” I demanded, my voice coming out slowly. The drink was slowly getting into my head.

“I have no answer for this Alpha but you can get any other wolf in and outside this pack to have a pup for you, if you want…” He pointed out and I scoffed.

“Anyyyyy but that damned omega! Tell me, what does she want?” I asked and Seyric exhaled.

“I don’t know alpha, some women want money… I don’t really know much, I’m not good at stuff like these.” He replied and a smile made its way to my face.

“Money? Just that… I have lots of it! Hundreds! Thousands, heck millions!” I burst into laughter and Seyric shook his head. He was obviously feeling sad for Nora because she was about to miss out on the greatest prize she could ever get in her life! ME

I was a fucking prize wanted by both young and old.

“Get me a thousand gold coins, Seyric and a few gold bars worth a fortune…” I ordered and he stared at me with confusion.

“Alpha… What are you trying to do?” He asked, staring at me with a frown.

“What does it look like? Money she wants, money she will get in excess.” I slurred, chuckling.

“Alpha… I don’t think it is a good idea, especially in your present state, alpha, you are drunk. Please don’t do this…” He pleaded and I scoffed.

“Drunk? Oh please… I have a very immune system… This has nothing on me. Now get me money, it’s time to go buy my pup.” I replied as I rose to my feet.

I fell back but only chuckled and held up my hand when Seyric tried to help me. “I’m not a weak omega, don’t help me.” I instructed as I stood up and fell back.

I chuckled as I stood up again and this time, I staggered my way out.
