What To Do?

Lionel was taken aback by what he just heard. He stood behind the door stunned and paralyzed by this new revelation.

"She killed my mother?" he mumbled, tears streaming down his cheeks as he lost balance, accidentally knocking off the vase sitting on the stand beside him.

"Let me call you back Zed..., I think I heard a sound," she whispered and hung up.

She slowly placed the phone on her study table and tiptoed to the door.  She slowly opened it and peeked through. She glanced through the corridor but saw nobody around. she was about to close the door when the scattered broken vase caught her attention. She bit over and slowly picked a piece up.

"Who could it be?" she mumbled, alarmed.

"I will find you soon," she added and went back into her office.
