Part Two, Chapter Twenty Five

Raven didn't care that she was naked.

Jean Luc, on the other hand, did. He had made her slip into his oversized shirt.

Lying beneath the wholly darkened sky peppered with sparkling glitter, Raven felt complete and content. One of her hands was entwined with Jean Luc, while the other gestured to the specks of stars, drawing an image of a face.

The night was not silent. In the distance, the celebration of gratitude still raged. Raven had no doubt that citizens of Soardina were dancing and drinking, that children were giggling and fooling around, that Lydia and Sartac were enjoying themselves, too.

She knew Darrow was taking his blonde girlfriend on a ride around the island, while Margaret was climbing until she reached a place where she could watch the movements of everybody. Dominic would be taking the time to impress people with his skills in computing and Zak would be walking around the city, collecting whatever people offered.
