Part Two, Chapter Twenty

Jean Luc still could not believe the fact that Raven had raised his children without his knowledge. His mind was still racing even after he left them because they needed their nap.

He needed drinks in his system, and he was thankful for the bar room. Darrow did not accompany him this time, and he was glad to be alone with his many thoughts.

However, he was abruptly interrupted by a man.

"Ay, you mind?" he asked and pointed to the seat beside Jean Luc. The man seemed rather nervous.

"No, take a seat," Jean Luc replied, then took another sip of his alcohol.

"Thanks, man." He was definitely nervous. By his soft tone and little stutter, Jean Luc felt as if he had somehow offended him. The reason was very much unknown. "Ah, I can't believe I'm doing this right now."

"Doing what?" Jean Luc questioned.

"Sitting beside you." He thought the man was a tad crazy if he thought sitting beside an ordinary person was surreal.
