Xavier’s Pov

“Good morning,” Oliver greeted as soon as I woke up.

“Good morning, Oliver,” I replied.

“You’re up already?” I asked, surprised.

Since Oliver came to stay at my place, he barely woke up early, so today was different.

“Well, sometimes a man needs to wake up early,” he replied with a smirk.

“Oh, come off it,” I said as I stepped out of bed. “Don’t stand there lying to me,” I laughed. “What’s the occasion?”

“Must there be an occasion for me to wake up early?” he asked with a smile. “

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    Happily after ever

Tulip’s PovIt had been a year since I gave birth to my son, Duke. Life felt lighter. Freed from villains, rivals, and fear, all I had now was family, love, and a sense of peace I never thought I would experience so fully. Duke was still sleeping peacefully in his crib, his tiny chest rising and falling with such innocence that my heart swelled with love.“Hey, Tulips, I just prepared your favorite meal. Please come join us at the dining table,” Xavier’s aunt called warmly from downstairs.“I’ll be with you all shortly, Aunt,” I replied, smiling. I watched Duke for a moment longer, brushing a soft strand of hair from his forehead. I whispered a gentle “good morning” to him, and he let out a tiny yawn as if he understood.Xavier’s family had truly become my home. They had embraced me from the very beginning, treating me as one of their own. Their warmth, laughter, and support made every day feel like a blessing. I often found myself thinking, what more could I ask for? Aside from the

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    blows that led to death

Xavier’s PovWhen I got back from Eli’s place, I didn’t see Tulips in the house. The silence felt strange. At first, I thought maybe she went to Clara’s house, but when I called, she wasn’t there. That was when uneasiness settled in.Her phone was ringing with no response until I noticed it lying on the couch. My heart skipped. Tulips never left her phone behind. I felt confused and scared at the same time.“Where could she be?” I muttered, my voice low and shaky.I picked up her phone and noticed that the recorder was on. She was probably recording something. My hands trembled slightly as I opened her phone using her password. We knew each other’s passwords, and for some reason, I felt compelled to listen to the recording. To my greatest disbelief, she had recorded conversations with Danzo.“Danzo was here?” I said out loud as I continued listening. My anger slowly turned into rage.I grew more infuriated when I heard the location he took her to, which he mentioned to some guys who

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    why is he apologizing?

Tulip’s PovI stood behind Xavier as he spoke to Danzo, my fingers clutching the edge of his shirt. My heart was racing so fast I was sure he could feel it through his back.I was scared, deeply scared, but for reasons I could not explain, I refused to let it show. Fear had no right to win tonight.“What could he possibly be doing here?” I muttered to myself. “And how did he even know we were staying in this villa as a family?”The questions crowded my mind, each one louder than the last. Nothing about this made sense. Danzo had been locked away. We had moved on. We had rebuilt our lives piece by piece. Yet here he was, standing right in front of our door like a ghost that refused to stay buried.I wanted to ask him everything. How he found us. Why he was here. What he really wanted. But something deep inside me told me to remain silent and let Xavier handle it.“I know you two may be wondering how I got here and why I am here,” Danzo finally spoke. The air went still. Even my breath

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    just been busy

Xavier’s PovOne year later.“After your marriage you’ve been so distant,” Oliver said over the phone.“So Tulips finally took you away from me?” he added, and we both laughed.I laughed before replying. “I haven’t been distant, Oliver,” I replied calmly. “I’ve just been busy taking good care of my wife. She’s pregnant, remember?”“Oh, that’s true,” he said, sounding amused.“How about Amira?” I asked. “How’s your marriage been?”“Well, it’s been great as usual,” he replied. “She’s pregnant too.”“What?” I exclaimed, sitting up straight. “No way. Are you serious?”“Yeah, you heard me right, Xav,” he said, laughing.I laughed too, genuinely surprised. “Congratulations, man. You never told me. I honestly didn’t expect to hear that.”“Just like I didn’t expect to hear that Tulips was pregnant either,” he replied, and we both laughed again.“So we’re both expecting babies,” I said, still trying to process it.“It’s what it is,” he replied simply.“We really need to have a family dinner t

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    Finally awaken

Tulip’s PovOne week later.“My valedictorian has finally woken up,” Clara teased as I slowly opened my eyes.“Will you ever get tired of that name? It’s been a week already,” I mumbled, still half-asleep.“No, not today and not tomorrow,” she replied firmly. “You deserve to be called that name always because you worked for it, girl. You earned it with every ounce of effort you put in.”I smiled softly, feeling the warmth of her words. “Thanks, Clara,” I said quietly. “Anyway, I’m starving.”“I woke up early and made your favorite meal,” she said cheerfully, her eyes sparkling as if she knew exactly how to lift my mood.I swung my legs off the bed and stretched, heading toward the kitchen. “I will miss you so much when you and Idris finally get married. The way you treat people, the care, the attention—it’s just too sweet. I’ll miss all that good treatment.”Clara smiled, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. “You can always come to our house when we get married. I will prepare al

  • A NIGHT WITH MY EX'S RIVAL.    Graduation day

Xavier’s PovFour months later. The graduation day was finally here.I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my graduating garment carefully, making sure it sat perfectly on my shoulders. I stared at my reflection for a moment longer than necessary, letting the reality sink in. College was officially over. All the sleepless nights, the stress, the exams, the moments of doubt, and even the victories had led to this day.“The graduation day is finally here,” I mumbled to myself, straightening my collar. Before I could dwell further on my thoughts, a gentle knock sounded on the door and my aunt walked in with a warm smile on her face.“It’s certainly going to be a great day for you, Xavier,” she said, her eyes scanning me from head to toe. “You look so handsome.”“Thanks, aunt,” I replied with a small smile. “You bought these shoes and suit for me, so you deserve appreciation too. Thank you.”I walked closer and hugged her tightly. She had always been there for me, supporting me in w
