Chapter 12

She stared at her phone screen which she had already dropped on the bed as her heartbeat became faster.

She was confused on what to do; should she pick it up or should she let it ring on? she stared at her phone until it stopped ringing and then she sighed, cursing herself

"Fuck! why did I do that, I just need to tell him that the deal no longer hold" she took a deep breath, waiting for him to call again.

Soon, he was calling again and this time, she braced herself and took the call but she didn't say anything first.

"Hey beautiful" Paxton's husky voice went straight into her ears, giving her chills that sent her chest moving up and down.

"Beatrix! are you there?" Paxton asked when she gave no reply.

"Y.. yes" she swallowed hard.

"Okay, I'm downstairs, come down when you're ready" he said hanging up immediately and Beatrix dropped her phone on the bed sadly. She couldn't bring herself to tell him she had changed her mind, moreover, he was already at her apartment. It wouldn't be nice
