CHAPTER 2 DAN

Dan

The Vine stood before us in all its glory as a modern feat of architecture. Cascading waterfalls, towering columns, lush greenery, and a stone facade. But all that faded to the background color because of the woman by my side. She was beautiful, but something about her beauty struck me. It was the silent type.

I’d been with several women—models, movie stars, and the like. Their beauty was obvious to the eye. But it took another kind of observation to appreciate Faye’s beauty. Her hair, so red I imagined she must be Irish, was pulled into a bun, with some strands loose. When I entered the bar earlier today, it was the first thing I noticed. The curves of her waistline were symmetrical to her shape, but I knew how easy it was to be beautiful from the back. But one look at her face, with her wide, brown eyes, full lips, and smooth skin, made all the difference. I just had to talk to her. The rest was history.

“It’s a beautiful place.”

I nodded. “It sure is.”

An air of pride tugged at me at her comment.

Turning to her, I grinned. “Shall we go in?”

"Yeah." She averted her gaze from the view, looking up briefly at me before plastering a sheepish smile on her face.

With my hand on the small of her back, we went in.

The hotel receptionist welcomed us with a very radiant smile. She didn’t need to ask much; I was already halfway across the hall before she could conclude her formalities. Faye, on the other hand, looked like she had a lot of questions to ask; I could tell by the quizzical look on her face.

‘Are you a regular? How often do you bring women here? Am I making a mistake?’

Normally, I wouldn’t have a care in the world about her uncertainties. But for some weird reason, I felt the need to put her at ease. When we got into the elevator and I pressed a button, her eyes widened.

“I’m a regular here.” I just had to calm her nerves.

“Oh, I see.” She flashed me a toothy smile.

I had to muster enough self-control to restrain myself from taking those full lips in mine. It was just a matter of time; all I had to do was wait a little longer. We arrived at our destination, and I ushered an awestruck Faye into the suite which was already ready for my use.

“Welcome to our humble abode for tonight,” I said with a dramatic bow.

“I don’t see what is humble about this place, but thanks nonetheless,” she replied.

Her eyes darted from the ceiling to the curtains and the marble floors in seconds. She looked impressed, with her eyes almost bulging. Was she curious about my true status? If she had asked, I would have answered. But she didn’t.

I offered her a seat, and she plumped down onto a sofa. I couldn’t help but chuckle at her childlike excitement. I walked over to the bar and placed two glasses on the counter.

“Care for a drink?”

“Only if you’re having one yourself.”

Whiskey seemed like the perfect choice, so I poured from a bottle and offered her a glass. I sat opposite her and watched as she sipped away. We talked for a while about everything and nothing. She was enjoying herself, and I was watching her do that till I couldn’t hold it in anymore. She started talking about her best friend and how they were supposed to meet up. As she slurred her words, I approached her with determination.

That was enough talking; it was time for action.

“I wonder if Diana has…”

I swallowed the rest of her words along with her mouth. She wasn’t expecting the kiss, as her body went stiff. For a moment, she just sat still while I hungrily took in her lower lip. Her eyes fluttered shut, and she relaxed into me, returning the kiss but slowing it down into something more passionate.

Her hands found their way to my head and started fondling my hair. She pulled at the band until my hair broke free from its hold and flowed down my shoulders. She giggled into my lips, and I couldn’t suppress the guttural sound that erupted from my throat.

I pulled her into my lap as I assumed a sitting position, not once breaking the kiss. She adjusted herself by straddling me. The moment her bosom came into contact with my mid-region, I couldn’t go slow anymore. I broke the kiss and held her stare. I was already drowning in her brown orbs.

Taking her clothes off was easy. I held her hair in one hand and, with the other, pulled down her zipper. Sliding each sleeve of her dress down her hand, I planted a kiss where they were. She shuddered and made a sound that only turned me on and led me further. I pulled her dress up her body and out through her head. She tried to cover her exposed body, but it was too late.

I stood with her still straddling me and walked us both up the stairs and down the corridor till we got to my room. I laid her gently on the bed, like an egg, then laid on top of her. She had a better idea; she rolled us over and climbed on top.

She pecked my lips briefly before proceeding to undress me. My turtle-necked sweater went off first. She was patient with the first two buttons of my shirt, but the remaining ones popped all over the place as she ripped the shirt off. Feisty; I like.

She undid my belt like a pro and slid off the bed. While kneeling before me and maintaining eye contact, she seductively tugged at my pants before pulling them to my ankles. I helped her kick off my shoes and pants.

With slow motions, she crawled up my body like a tiger, ready to devour its prey. I have been with so many women, but not once have I ever felt my heart beat this fast in anticipation. I watched Faye get seated on my groin and felt a tingle in my underpants. By the time she stretched herself up to my neck and planted a wet kiss on it, I knew that night was going to be different.

I let her play as much as she wanted—nibbles, fondles, and kisses. I just laid there and endured her torture till it was time for me to administer some of my own.

“Hey, princess. Have you ever heard of Nirvana?” I whispered into her ears.

“Yes,” came her direct response.

She could still mutter coherent words. I chuckled. Not for much longer.

“Brace yourself. I’m about to give you a ride there.”

Her breath shuddered. Before she could give another response, I enveloped her already swollen lips in another kiss and turned us over to the bed. My tongue fought for dominance and won. I explored every part of her mouth and swallowed every moan she released. My mouth longed to explore another part that’d warrant even more moans. So I started my downward journey.

I left a trail of kisses from her mouth to my destination, touching her neck, chest, bosoms, belly, navel, and beach line. There was every indication that she was having fun; her body reacted to my every touch, and by the time I reached her core, she had pooled; she was ready for me.

Without further ado, I started my mission there. With my fingers, I delivered slow pumps that tormented her. At first, she tried to stifle her cries. But when I got faster, they got louder. The friction produced squishy noises that cheered me on. I didn’t relent, not even when she begged. I promised her Nirvana, and I planned to keep my word.

The grip she had on my hair tightened, and I could feel strands pulling off their roots. I didn’t mind. I worked patiently on driving her to the edge, and right before she tipped over, I withdrew. Her sobs seized abruptly, and she looked at me. Her eyes portrayed just the emotion I wanted; she wanted me to continue. I did.

Instead of returning my fingers to their previous position, I brought them to my mouth. While she watched, I fanned her core with warm breath from my nostrils. It must have tickled because she shuddered a little. My tongue darted forward and gave her a little flick. She shuddered again and tried to close her legs, but I wasn’t having it. I placed my legs perfectly between hers and drove her straight to heaven’s gate. I didn’t spare a spot.

Faye must have developed claws because she scratched my back so hard I thought she would draw blood. Her moans transitioned into cries, but I didn’t stop. Pleasure has never killed anyone before. If anything, she owed me a reward. I felt her body begin to jerk, and she tightened her legs around my head. It was time.

I pulled my mouth away, repositioning her for what I'd been waiting for all day. I twitched in anticipation, and the moment I filled her up, she let out a loud cry. I bet it was better than she had expected. As I pumped in and out, her face turned crimson. Tears flowed freely down her cheeks. I couldn’t resist kissing her, and as I did, she tipped over the edge, dragging me along.

For the next few minutes, we lay awake in each other’s embrace. We listened to our heartbeats return to normal. No words were exchanged; just breaths and smiles. I dressed her in my damaged shirt and watched her drift off to sleep in my hands. Her beautiful face was the last thing I saw before utter darkness.

The next time I opened my eyes, I was staring a sleeping beauty in the face. Faye looked peaceful, sleeping soundly beside me, with a small smile on her lips. She looked like a baby, save for the numerous hickeys peeking at me from beneath my shirt. Those were the only indications of what went down last night: the tears were gone, her lips were no longer swollen, and her face color was back to its normal tone.

That left me with nothing but memories to remember her by—memories that’ll be imprinted on the walls of my heart for God knows how long. How her eyes rolled into her head, how her toes curled, her mercy pleas—I’ll carry them everywhere until, just like every other, they’ll be forgotten.

Faye stirred in her sleep, and I contemplated planting a kiss on her forehead but decided against it. Instead, I showered, dressed casually, and left the room. Before exiting, I cast one last glance at her sleeping form.

This was one of those moments where I felt like I was taking a picture of a piece of art displayed in a gallery because I knew I couldn’t buy it and might never see it again. Except, I could. But she was different. I was never going to purchase her. I took a mental picture of Faye because I was never going to see her again. I felt a little quiver in my heart but paid no attention. Our fun was for a night only, and it was fun while it lasted.

Sighing, I exited the room. It was time to go about my activities like any other normal day. The night was over, and so was anything that had to do with Faye.
