Dante's Pov:

She is a vile woman.

“Mr Dante, is this how you treat your wife?” the reporter asked from the back while still videoing me.

“Get the hell out!”. I glared at her and she opened the door at once and quickly went down.

“Dante, don't be too harsh on her. The truth is that she was just making a fake video. I wouldn't be that foolish to wash my dirty linen in public”.

“Where is Anna?” I asked.

“Anna left me.immediately we arrived at the airport. She said she was late for her meeting”

“Which hotel are you going to?”. I asked aloofly.

“What do you mean Dante? You have so many houses here in Folks city, why should I sleep in a hotel?”

I didn't speak to her anymore, I took her to one of my houses in the estates.

“Thanks hubby for bringing me home”.

I handed her luggages to her and got into my car.

“Hey! Where are you off to now?” She asked.

“I don't have to give you an answer to everything that I do, do I?”. I didn't wait for her response and I drove off.

I called Marcus again to know what he found out about Tracy.

“Hello boss, the information about her seems to be sealed. I couldn't get any information about her”. He replied.

“Is that so?”. I asked.

“Yes boss”. I ended the call in frustration.

My phone rang… it was my sister Anna that was calling me.

“Hello big bro…”. She said with a delightful voice.

“How are you?”. I asked, with a tone that's not really that cheerful.

“I am fine. I came into Folks city an hour ago. Can we meet up?”. She asked.

“Sure. Where is your location?”.

“Green Ville bar”. She replied.

“I thought Ava said you went for an important meeting, then what are you doing in Green Ville bar?”. I asked because it's weird.

“Well, I was also surprised when I saw the address of the meeting venue in my phone and did you know that the person hasn't even shown up. I have waited for an hour now and I am having jet lag but due to how important this deal is to me, I decided to wait”.

“Sorry for that little Sis, that's one of the disadvantages of business, that's why we must strive to be at the top, so that we don't have to endure all of these. I am coming right away to meet you”.

“Alright bro”.

I drove towards the Green Ville bar.

I saw her sitting at the VIP section with a glass of juice in front of her table.

She smiled and stood up to hug me when she saw me.

“Big bro you look so handsome”. She teased me.

“As always, little sis”. I replied proudly.

“Is the person not here yet?” I asked as I settled down on a chair.

“I haven't seen her. She didn't even reply to my text messages”. She said with a frown.

“Let's go home, my princess doesn't deserve to wait on anyone”. I said to her,

“Are you sure that she doesn't deserve to wait for anyone?” I turned to see Tracy coming in with two security guards.

She looked so gorgeous and elegant.

“Tracy? What are you doing here?”. Anna asked, looking surprised.

“You don't even recognize your business partner, how can you be worthy of securing a deal with Miss Whitmore?”. Tracy asked with a smirk.

“At least you are not Miss Whitmore, wait… how do you know that I am here to meet up with Miss Whitmore? Oh…you must be her errand dog”. Anna concluded.

“Then why not ask your beloved twin brother who I am”. Tracy challenged.

Anna turned to me with curiosity in her eyes.

“She is right Anna, Tracy is Miss Whitmore, the most famous and wealthy business tycoon, not only in Folks city but internationally”. I replied to her.

“So you knew I was the one coming to meet up with you, that's why you deliberately made me wait for you for two hours?”. Anna asked angrily.

“You should be glad that I even spared time to see you. Most business tycoons who are even more vast in their business, go through hell to see my shadow, and I spared time to come and see you out of my busy schedule and you are not even grateful?”. Tracy asked, enjoying the anger on Anna's face.

“Tracy, I was the one that wronged you, why do you have to punish my sister for my mistake?” I asked because I don't want to see my twin sister sad at all.

“I have no words for you. Anna, the business deal couldn't be finalized. After going through your proposal, it didn't meet up with my company's standards, I will take my leave now”. Tracy gave us triumphant smile before she left with her bodyguards.

Anna looked so defeated.

“I will make sure that I surpass you in the future Tracy”. Anna voiced under her breath.

“It's okay, let's go home”. I said to her and she nodded with a sad face.

DANTE'S POVI came back from the hospital feeling pissed. Ava is really an asshole. She always does something to annoy me.I wonder how I left Tracy back then to be with a bitch like her.I was pouring myself a glass of wine when I noticed my phone on the counter. One missed call.Unknown number.I frowned. “Who the hell calls this late?”I stared at the screen for a few seconds, then decided to call back. The line rang once, twice… then a soft female voice answered.“Hello? City Hospital, Ward Seven. How may I help you?”I paused, confused. “Hospital?”“Yes, this is the City Hospital,” the voice said politely. “Who am I speaking with?”“This is Dante,” I replied. “Your number called me an hour ago.”“Oh…” The nurse’s tone shifted. “Then maybe one of the patients in this ward dialed your number, sir.”My chest tightened a little. “A patient?”“Yes, sir. Sometimes patients use the ward's phone when they need to reach someone urgently.”I leaned against the glass wall, my brows knitting

  • A Night With My Best Friend'sTwin Brother   Chapter 58: Tension At The Pool

JACOB'S POVThe scream came first.A sharp, terrified sound that cut through the air above the pool.I turned my head and that’s when I saw her.Tracy was struggling in the water. Her arms floated weakly beside her, her head tilting backward as bubbles rose around her. The water swallowed her slowly, pulling her under. For a second, the world froze. Then I moved.“Tracy!” I shouted, my voice echoing across the water.I didn’t waste another breath. I dove forward, my arms cutting through the pool in hard, fast strokes. My chest burned, but I didn’t stop. The barrier dividing our side of the pool hit my shoulder as I tore through it. All I could see was her hair drifting like dark silk under the blue water. When I reached her, she was already sinking deeper.I grabbed her by the waist, pulling her up with all my strength. Her body was limp, no resistance, and no sound. The silence scared me more than anything.“Come on, Tracy,” I muttered, tightening my grip as I kicked upward. “Stay w

  • A Night With My Best Friend'sTwin Brother   CHAPTER 57: Fragments Of My Lost Memories

TRACY'S POV:I was bored sitting in the ward for almost all day without even knowing where my loved ones are currently. My mind was full of fog. Every time I tried to remember what happened before I woke up, my head began to hurt.Everyone kept saying I was married. That I had a son. But how could that be? The last thing I remembered was being with Dante… and Anna laughing beside me.Where were they now?I sat up slowly and looked around the room. My eyes landed on the hospital telephone sitting on the small table beside the window.Maybe… maybe if I call them, I’ll finally understand.I picked up the receiver with shaky hands. “Okay, Tracy… think,” I whispered to myself. “You remember Dante’s number. Try it.”I slowly pressed the buttons, one by one, and held the phone close to my ear.Ring… ring… ring…My heart beat faster. “Please pick up, Dante… please.”But then…The number you have dialed is not available.I froze. “No, no, no… not now.”I tried again. Same thing.I felt tears

  • A Night With My Best Friend'sTwin Brother   CHAPTER 56: The Lost Memories

JACOB'S POVTracy’s question hit me like a wave I wasn’t ready for.“Where is Dante? Anna? And my mother?” She asked again. For a moment, I couldn’t speak. My mouth opened, but no words came out. My chest felt tight. I had waited for her to wake up for so long, but not like this, not with her remembering someone else instead of me.She stared at me with confused eyes, her voice weak but curious. “Why do you look so shocked? Did something happen to them?”I swallowed hard, forcing my voice to stay calm. “Tracy… who is Dante to you?”She blinked. “Dante?” Her lips curved into a small, soft smile. “He’s my boyfriend. Why?”The room suddenly felt colder. I could feel the doctor watching me, but I didn’t move. I didn’t flinch. On the outside, I stayed calm, but inside, it felt like someone had just stabbed me.Her boyfriend. That name again.Dante, the man she used to love before everything changed. Before she was betrayed by him.I clenched my hands quietly at my side. I couldn’t let her

  • A Night With My Best Friend'sTwin Brother   Chapter 55: The Second Awakening

JACOB'S POVTwo long weeks had passed since Tracy’s fingers first moved.Every morning, I walked into that white, quiet hospital room hoping she would open her eyes but she didn’t. The machines still beeped beside her bed, and her chest still rose and fell gently, but she didn’t wake up.She looked peaceful, like she was just sleeping. But I knew she wasn’t.And every day, I saw Alvin getting thinner. His cheeks were no longer round, and his bright smile had faded. The boy barely ate. Sometimes, he would sit beside her bed for hours, whispering, “Mommy, please wake up. I miss you.”It broke my heart to see him like that. That afternoon, I walked into the room and saw Alvin sitting on the chair, holding Tracy’s hand tightly. His small head rested on the edge of the bed. He had fallen asleep crying again.I sighed quietly and knelt beside him. “Hey, buddy,” I said softly. “You haven’t eaten your lunch.”He lifted his head and rubbed his sleepy eyes. “I’m not hungry.”“You said that yest

  • A Night With My Best Friend'sTwin Brother   Chapter 54: The Plan

AVA’S POVDante had been acting like a ghost for weeks. Every time I saw him, his eyes were dull, empty, like someone had stolen the life out of him. He barely spoke. He didn’t go to work. He just sat in that big, dark mansion, drinking his nights away.It made me angry. He was wasting himself over a woman who didn’t even deserve him. Tracy. The name alone made my stomach twist. She had everything, Dante’s love, his attention, his loyalty, everything I wanted. And she threw it all away. Now she is gone. Good. And Dante was mine to claim.I walked into his study that night, the smell of whiskey filling the air. The curtains were half-drawn, the room dark except for the faint glow from the lamp on his desk. Bottles littered the table, and Dante was slumped in his chair, a glass dangling loosely from his hand.“Dante,” I said softly. He didn’t look up. “Go home, Ava.”I smiled, stepping closer. “You’ve been saying that for weeks. I think you like having me around.”He gave a low, humorle
