ANNA'S POV:

I gritted my teeth as I entered my brother's car. Tracy has bitten more than she can chew.

How dare she play games with me? I won't let her off easily. The war that started five years ago will continue until I cripple the wings that she uses to fly.

“Are you still angry?”.

“Why won't I be? In Fact I am mad at her and I won't make life easy for her from this day forward”. I said with anger.

“Sis, the level that Tracy is in now, is out of our league. She controls most of the businesses in Folk city”.

“I don't care. I will find a way to make her pay”.

Just then my phone rang, the caller ID showed Ava. I picked up the call.

“Slasher in law, your brother has abandoned me”. She said with a sad tone.

“Where are you?” I asked her.

“I am in one of his houses at the estate, it's so boring here. I want to call the company that invited me to Folks city to prepare a penthouse for me”.

“There is no need for that, I will send the location of where you can come”. I ended the call and stared at my brother angrily.

“What's that look for?”. He asked.

“Don't tell me that you didn't hear the conversation between me and Ava?”.

“What if I heard it? Ava has been a thorn in my flesh”.

“You are the issue in your marriage Dante. Ava loves you very much but you have refused to acknowledge that fact”.

If my brother thinks that he can reunite with Tracy, then he better forget about that because I will fight to the last drop of my blood to make sure that they are not together.

“I will appreciate it if you don't meddle in my personal life because I don't meddle in yours except if it's necessary”.

Dante, I will definitely not meddle in your affair right in front of you, I will work behind the scenes because that's the only way I can succeed in this battle.

“Dante, I am sorry if I am meddling too much in your affair but please Ava's parents entrusted her to me, if anything happens to her or if she is sad, they would be unhappy and you know that they have a major share in our companies”.

“I understand your point but let me handle it”.

We got home and I freshened up. I planned my next move on Tracy before I slept.

I am very sure that she still has feelings for my brother, I will use that as my starting point.

“Tracy, the humiliation that you gave me today, I won't forget it, until I her my own pound of flesh”

My phone rang when I was almost asleep, because I was really tired after the whole journey and the stress that Tracy made me go through.

“Hello, Anna, I am at the gate”. I checked the time, it was past 11:am in the night.

I called the security to open the gate while I stepped down to the living room.

I saw my brother working on his laptop. I pretended to be on call to get his attention.

“Yes, I am definitely coming to the endorsement tomorrow. You mean Miss Whitmore will be there?”

My brother was alert the instant I called Miss Whitmore.

“Yes, tomorrow I will definitely be there for my sister in law. Alright bye”.

“Who were you speaking with?”. He asked curiously.

“I don't think it's what you should be concerned about but if you really want to know, then come to Ava's endorsement shoot tomorrow”.

“Anna!”. Ava called out my name happily as she came in.

“How are you?”. I asked her.

“I wasn't fine before but now that I am with my family, I am fine”.

Dante didn't even spare her a glance. He took his laptop and went to his room.

I saw the sadness on Ava's face but I sat her down with a smile.

“Ava, don't worry, I have a way to bring you and your husband together. Our enemy is back, I saw Tracy today and if you don't want your dear husband to get in the arms of another woman, then you will have to follow my plans”.

“Seriously? That bitch came back into our lives again? This is really bad”.

“Don't worry, I will handle her, just follow my lead”. I whispered the plans in her ears and she smiled.

DANTE'S POVI came back from the hospital feeling pissed. Ava is really an asshole. She always does something to annoy me.I wonder how I left Tracy back then to be with a bitch like her.I was pouring myself a glass of wine when I noticed my phone on the counter. One missed call.Unknown number.I frowned. “Who the hell calls this late?”I stared at the screen for a few seconds, then decided to call back. The line rang once, twice… then a soft female voice answered.“Hello? City Hospital, Ward Seven. How may I help you?”I paused, confused. “Hospital?”“Yes, this is the City Hospital,” the voice said politely. “Who am I speaking with?”“This is Dante,” I replied. “Your number called me an hour ago.”“Oh…” The nurse’s tone shifted. “Then maybe one of the patients in this ward dialed your number, sir.”My chest tightened a little. “A patient?”“Yes, sir. Sometimes patients use the ward's phone when they need to reach someone urgently.”I leaned against the glass wall, my brows knitting

JACOB'S POVThe scream came first.A sharp, terrified sound that cut through the air above the pool.I turned my head and that’s when I saw her.Tracy was struggling in the water. Her arms floated weakly beside her, her head tilting backward as bubbles rose around her. The water swallowed her slowly, pulling her under. For a second, the world froze. Then I moved.“Tracy!” I shouted, my voice echoing across the water.I didn’t waste another breath. I dove forward, my arms cutting through the pool in hard, fast strokes. My chest burned, but I didn’t stop. The barrier dividing our side of the pool hit my shoulder as I tore through it. All I could see was her hair drifting like dark silk under the blue water. When I reached her, she was already sinking deeper.I grabbed her by the waist, pulling her up with all my strength. Her body was limp, no resistance, and no sound. The silence scared me more than anything.“Come on, Tracy,” I muttered, tightening my grip as I kicked upward. “Stay w

  • A Night With My Best Friend'sTwin Brother   CHAPTER 57: Fragments Of My Lost Memories

TRACY'S POV:I was bored sitting in the ward for almost all day without even knowing where my loved ones are currently. My mind was full of fog. Every time I tried to remember what happened before I woke up, my head began to hurt.Everyone kept saying I was married. That I had a son. But how could that be? The last thing I remembered was being with Dante… and Anna laughing beside me.Where were they now?I sat up slowly and looked around the room. My eyes landed on the hospital telephone sitting on the small table beside the window.Maybe… maybe if I call them, I’ll finally understand.I picked up the receiver with shaky hands. “Okay, Tracy… think,” I whispered to myself. “You remember Dante’s number. Try it.”I slowly pressed the buttons, one by one, and held the phone close to my ear.Ring… ring… ring…My heart beat faster. “Please pick up, Dante… please.”But then…The number you have dialed is not available.I froze. “No, no, no… not now.”I tried again. Same thing.I felt tears

JACOB'S POVTracy’s question hit me like a wave I wasn’t ready for.“Where is Dante? Anna? And my mother?” She asked again. For a moment, I couldn’t speak. My mouth opened, but no words came out. My chest felt tight. I had waited for her to wake up for so long, but not like this, not with her remembering someone else instead of me.She stared at me with confused eyes, her voice weak but curious. “Why do you look so shocked? Did something happen to them?”I swallowed hard, forcing my voice to stay calm. “Tracy… who is Dante to you?”She blinked. “Dante?” Her lips curved into a small, soft smile. “He’s my boyfriend. Why?”The room suddenly felt colder. I could feel the doctor watching me, but I didn’t move. I didn’t flinch. On the outside, I stayed calm, but inside, it felt like someone had just stabbed me.Her boyfriend. That name again.Dante, the man she used to love before everything changed. Before she was betrayed by him.I clenched my hands quietly at my side. I couldn’t let her

  • A Night With My Best Friend'sTwin Brother   Chapter 55: The Second Awakening

JACOB'S POVTwo long weeks had passed since Tracy’s fingers first moved.Every morning, I walked into that white, quiet hospital room hoping she would open her eyes but she didn’t. The machines still beeped beside her bed, and her chest still rose and fell gently, but she didn’t wake up.She looked peaceful, like she was just sleeping. But I knew she wasn’t.And every day, I saw Alvin getting thinner. His cheeks were no longer round, and his bright smile had faded. The boy barely ate. Sometimes, he would sit beside her bed for hours, whispering, “Mommy, please wake up. I miss you.”It broke my heart to see him like that. That afternoon, I walked into the room and saw Alvin sitting on the chair, holding Tracy’s hand tightly. His small head rested on the edge of the bed. He had fallen asleep crying again.I sighed quietly and knelt beside him. “Hey, buddy,” I said softly. “You haven’t eaten your lunch.”He lifted his head and rubbed his sleepy eyes. “I’m not hungry.”“You said that yest

  • A Night With My Best Friend'sTwin Brother   Chapter 54: The Plan

AVA’S POVDante had been acting like a ghost for weeks. Every time I saw him, his eyes were dull, empty, like someone had stolen the life out of him. He barely spoke. He didn’t go to work. He just sat in that big, dark mansion, drinking his nights away.It made me angry. He was wasting himself over a woman who didn’t even deserve him. Tracy. The name alone made my stomach twist. She had everything, Dante’s love, his attention, his loyalty, everything I wanted. And she threw it all away. Now she is gone. Good. And Dante was mine to claim.I walked into his study that night, the smell of whiskey filling the air. The curtains were half-drawn, the room dark except for the faint glow from the lamp on his desk. Bottles littered the table, and Dante was slumped in his chair, a glass dangling loosely from his hand.“Dante,” I said softly. He didn’t look up. “Go home, Ava.”I smiled, stepping closer. “You’ve been saying that for weeks. I think you like having me around.”He gave a low, humorle
