Chapter 10

NISHA’S POV

I wondered who the person on the bike was, that made them fear so much. Just before they could start running, he rode towards them, and fought with them as my eyes were tight shut. For a few minutes, I heard the sound of the fight, until they were taken care of. Then I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I shuddered in fear, only for me to look at my left and discover it was Derek.

My eyes widened in surprise.

“Derek?” I exclaimed, softly.

We were at the river bank, with the breeze, sending my hair, back and all over my face.

“You mad at me?” I asked after silence had reigned between us, after a while.

“Nah. Why would I be mad at you?” He said as he threw something into the river.

Then I lowered my head, sadly.

“I…I just couldn’t control it.” I said, and sniffed.

“I understand, but you have to keep trying. Occupy your mind with something else, so you do not get into trouble.” Derek said.
