“Maybe we could continue the fun.” Damien walked back to seat excitedly.

The whiskey streamed freely, the amber liquid comforting Damien and Blaire from the inside out, blurring the brims of their reality. The bar had emptied around them, the dim lights casting shadows that danced with their laughter. Blaire bent in, her eyes sparkling with a mixture of playfulness and vulnerability, and Damien found himself captivated by her presence.

“ I really enjoy your company. Just one more drink?” she suggested, her voice teasing as it broke the silence that had settled between them. “What’s the harm in having a little more fun?”

“Why not? I mean, life is too short.” he replied, feeling a sense of reckless abandon wash over him. “We’re already in this together.”

They ordered another round, the conversation flowing as easily as the drinks.

As the night wore on, the laughter faded, replaced by a growing intimacy that felt both exciting and scary. Blaire’s gaze drifted on him, her eyes searching, and Damien felt a charged energy in the air between them.

“I can’t just leave you here, I have to go now, where do you live? I'll drop you.” he said suddenly, the thought of leaving her alone eroding at him. There was no response from Blaire.“Let me take you to a hotel nearby. You can stay there until the day is bright.”

Her surprise was obvious, but a Kindle of trust flickered in her eyes. “Okay,” she said, her voice steady yet tinged with excitement. “ I'll go with you, I don't wanna go home like this.”

They fell out into the night, laughter dripping between them as Damien drove Blaire, leaning on his right arm for support. The city lights twinkled around them like stars, guiding them toward their destination.

When they arrived at the hotel, Damien held the door open, guiding her inside. They approached the elevator, Blaire continued leaning on him, as she was drunk and had no stamina. As they rode up, Damien could feel the weight of unspoken thoughts.

Once they reached their floor, he led the way down the corridor, the plush carpet muffling their footsteps. As they entered the room.

“Thank you for looking out for me,” Blaire said softly, her voice breaking the silence. She looked vulnerable and beautiful in the softened light, and Damien felt a surge of protectiveness.

“Of course,” he replied, his voice steady. “I didn’t want to leave you stranded.”

The air in the room felt heavy with suspense, and as Damien helped Blaire on the bed, he only hoped for her safety. He turned around to take his leave but Blaire held him back, her eyes searching. “ Please don’t go yet,” she murmured, and before he could react, she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into an embrace.

The warmth of her body against his sent a startle through him. Damien’s heart raced as she inclined her head up, capturing his lips with hers. The kiss was uncertain at first, a gentle scouting, but it quickly deepened, starting a fire that had been bubbling all night.

As they kissed, the world outside faded, leaving just the two of them in that moment. Blaire’s fingers entwined in his hair, pulling him closer, and Damien responded naturally, wrapping his arms around her waist, drawing her against him. It felt electric, as if the very air snapped with tension.

With a sense of rush, he pulled away just long enough to meet her gaze, for a moment he was reluctant, knowing she was acting due to the power of the whiskey. But Blaire looked beautiful, breathless and eager, her eyes filled with an enchanting mix of desire and uncertainty. He leaned in again, his lips brushing against hers, and the kiss deepened, a desperate need whirling between them.

Damien’s hands found the fringes of her shirt, tugging it upwards. Blaire lifted her arms, allowing him to husk it away, her skin soft and warm against his fingertips. He marvelled at the sensation, feeling as though he were unveiling something precious.

“Are you sure? You're drunk.” he breathed, pausing for just a moment, the weight of the moment settling heavily between them.

“It doesn't matter Damien, I want you.” she replied, her voice barely above a whisper, but the certainty in her gaze was unmistakable.

Encouraged, he continued, their movements becoming more wild as he explored her body, feeling the heat exude from her. Every piece of clothing that fell away revealed more than just skin. it exposed the vulnerability and trust they had built in just a few hours. As he took off her clothes, Blaire’s hands found their way to his shirt, nimbly removing the buttons, revealing the shaped lines of his body.

They stumbled on the bed, their bodies entwined as they fell onto the soft sheets. Damien swayed above her, his heart racing, eyes locked on hers. They shared a breathless moment, the weight of everything outside that room forgotten.

“Blaire,” he murmured, a mix of awe and desire rushing through him. “You’re so beautiful.”

She smiled, a clue of shyness creeping back into her expression, but the spark in her eyes told him she felt it too. “Just don’t stop,” she urged, her hands gripping his shoulders as he leaned down to kiss her again. He began to explore every part of her body, tracing kisses along her collarbone, down her stomach, feeling her shudder beneath him. Blaire gasped, the sound sending a rush of heat through him, and he exulted in the power of making her feel alive again.

The rhythm between them grew, passion inciting like wildfire. Their bodies moved together in a dance as old as time, a harmony of shared breaths and gasps.

The world outside ceased to exist; it was just them, lost in each other’s arms.

As they reached the peak of their passion, Damien felt an overwhelming wave of connection crash over him, binding them in ways he had never experienced before. In that moment, with their bodies entwined and hearts laid bare, the weight of their individual loneliness lifted, replaced by a shared intimacy that was both exciting and frightening.

They collapsed against the sheets, breathless and bound, hearts thumping in rhythm. It was the first time in a long time, Damien felt a glimmer of hope. In Blaire, he had found an abrupt comfort from the storm that had been steeping in his life.

As they lay there, limbs tangled. They fell asleep.

Rachel sat on her bed, staring at the glowing screen of her phone. The posts, the comments, the endless judgement—it was all too much. The photos of her and Marcus were everywhere, plastered across gossip sites and social media platforms. The caption stung more than the images: "Rachel Smith disgraces the Smith name—caught with a low-class lover."She tossed her phone onto the bed, pulling her knees to her chest as tears streamed down her face.
