They stood side by side in front of the graves of Laurel's parents. Aaron hugged her tightly in the serene silence. After that, without a word, Aaron placed the flower arrangements on her parents' graves.

“What did you say to them?” Laurel looked at her husband tenderly as they walked home through the cemetery.

Today Aurel turns two months old. Every month they visit the graves of Laurel's parents and lay flowers, praying for them.

Aaron smiled and kissed her forehead gently. “Same words, that I apologize and promise to take good care of their daughter.”

Laurel hugged him tightly. “You have done that promise very well.”

“And I will continue to do so tirelessly,” he replied softly.

They walked to their car and continued on their way home in silence. The atmosphere is too serene and beautiful to be broken by conversation.

Arriving at home, Laurel went straight to the nursery. She looked at her daughter.
