Scarlet woke early the following morning to get some work done. More Loreans had arrived during the night, and more were still coming.

Horatio pulled Scarlet to him, then kissed the tip of her ears, which caused her to shiver.

"Why are you up so early?" He asked.

"Because I have to prepare for tomorrow. I want to make sure everyone is-"

Horatio kissed her, cutting off her words.

"You are such a distraction," Scarlet told him, then pulled him into another kiss.

She finished getting dressed and left the room, where she made her way to where she heard Harlow and her mate talking.

She knocked on the door lightly, only to hear complaining coming from inside.

Scarlet practically had to rip Harlow away from Gore, while Alistair refused to leave his bride's side.

"I'm sure October can take care of herself and doesn't need a bodyguard," Scarlet said.

"And I'm sure you don't want to lose a limb or your head," Alistair shoot back.
