"I still can't believe Lizzy was actually someone else. I don't know how it went by me,'' Elijah said.

Scarlet turned her back on him because she wasn't up to talking about someone like that.

"She pretended to be my brother's mate. I think that is just as bad," Nikki put in.

"Yeah, I don't think anyone's experience with her is worse than the other. She played with everyone's mind either way, so let's not make this a competition, Nikki," Kera said while walking past her to enter the car.

Nikki grumbled something under her breath before heading to the other car, where she sat in the back with her arm folded over her chest.

As Scarlet sat in the front seat, waiting for Horatio to finish speaking with Vincent, her mind reeled and went back to a time that seemed so long ago.
