"Can I go? I have no idea what you are talking about." October whispered but everyone heard her perfectly.

"No my bride, you have to be involved in everything pertaining to this kingdom. You are queen, and have to rule by my side.''

"Don't blame me if I fall asleep," she told him.

"You can lean on my shoulder," Alistair told her.

October took that as a cue to go sit in his lap, where she curled up and rested her head on his chest.

Alistair placed one protective arm around her, before kissing the top of her head.

"Alistair, my beta and I wish to speak with you in private. Without our mate and bride." Gore said.

Harlow glared at Gore, wondering what was so important for her to be left out of talks about the fate of the world.

Alistair laughed at his niece's expression, then said. "Very well, but I'm sure you have to answer to Harlow later."

October looked up at Alistair. "Yes, you may leave." He told her.
